A/N: This isn't really connected to the friends timeline or plot really but its sweet
Chandler rushed into the coffee house, hoping Ross was there.
"Hey Ross," he said defiantly. "When were you going to tell me that people think we're dating?" He breathed in and out heavily.
"Why does it matter? So a couple people think we're boyfriends, what's the big deal?"
Chandler didn't believe what he was hearing. "It's no big deal for you," he muttered, sinking into the couch.
"What do you mean by that chandler?" Ross said slowly.
"Nothing." Chandler wanted to come out to Ross, really he did, but it was going to be hard. He knew Ross wouldn't care because they had known each other since middle school but he just wasn't ready. He stood up and went over to the counter to order a coffee, not looking up from his feet until he was at the front of the small line. And boy was he glad he looked up. A beautiful man, about nineteen or twenty, was serving coffee and laughing with the customers in a too-small apron. Wow, he thought. Chandler was sure that he'd never seen the man before but something about him was familiar. No familiar isn't the right word, the guy made him feel safe. As chandler ordered his coffee he was pretty sure he was blushing like crazy and he tripped over every word.
"In a hurry?" The guy asked.
"No," chandler blushed even more and nodded his head towards Ross, "my friends over there I'll probably be sitting here for a while. This is kinda our place." He took out his wallet to pay but they guy stopped him.
"I can't have someone this pretty be paying for his drink," the guy said, smirking. Oh no. Ross is right there he'll hear whatever I say, chandler thought. He searched for words.
"Uhh..." great start, "th-thank- uh thank you?" He stammered. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder as Ross walked up behind him.
"Hey chandler are you ok?" He shot a not-very-friendly look at the waiter.
The guy raised his eyebrows, "The so-called friend?" He asked. Chandler nodded.
"I'm ok Ross," he took his coffee and smiled. "Hey... uh would it be ok if I got your number?"
Chuckling the waiter nodded, "you also want my name, or?" He scribbled down something on a napkin as Chandlers face went red once again.
"Cool," was all he managed to get out before hastily walking out of the coffee shop, Ross following behind. Once they were outside he turned to face Ross. "Look- Ross-"
He was cut off by Ross bursting into laughter. "You are so weird man," Ross said with an eye roll, hugging his friend.
A/N: I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while, I didn't really have any ideas and school just started like a week or two ago and I've already got exams bc of covid. Speaking of which I might have covid which is fun but I don't really know because I'm still waiting on the results from a test. Anyway I finally got time to write in iso but I still might not update anything for a while and I'm sorry about that.
