[SHI-EON'S POV]
"Hello, little lambs."
I recognized the voice right away.
How badly I wished to never hear this voice again...
My fingertips felt colder... my mind felt numb.... what should I do now? What should be done?
I didn't dare to turn and see the one I didn't want to encounter tonight.
That Vampire wearing a black cloak.
I turned my head to my side only to see the terrified expression of Minji.
"Why.....? Why is he here?" She mumbled, "What should we do now, Shi-Eon? Are we going to die?"
Die.... We failed... I failed ... again... what now? If I hadn't planned all this out... Would we have survived?--
Just when my mind was clouded I felt a cold hand grabbing my palm before giving it a gentle squeeze.
"You didn't do anything wrong..." Hyunjin said, trying to give me a reassuring smile despite being terrified himself.
The sound of boots clicking against the tiled floor resonated in the hallway as the 2nd Progenitor walked to stand in front of us.
In contrast to my terrified expression, his lips were stretched into an elegant smile as his red eyes looked down on us.
Shivers ran down my spine... My hands started trembling... and the coldness I felt only grew as each second passed. Several thoughts ran through my mind.
Why is he here? What will he do now? How did he find out about the plan? Did he know about it from the beginning?
More to my surprise, he suddenly burst into laughter, clapping both his hands.
"Aww Just look at these faces." Lucas flashed his fangs, "I love the expression humans make when all of their hopes are dashed. It's so intoxicating that I can't stop playing this game." He slowly shifted his gaze to the map I was holding.
"So naive." Lucas chuckled while brushing his hair back, "Did you think I wouldn't know about your little escape Plan? There wasn't any vampire on your way here, didn't you find it strange?"
"He planned it all to trap us." Jungkook spoke, clenching his fists.
"Well, you can say that." Lucas said as he rubbed his chin, " But what if I say the map you stole from my mansion is a genuine one? Once you escape through that door, it'll be difficult to reach you."
