It was midnight when the main door of the house creaked open and Shi-Eon silently sneaked in.
Looks like everyone is asleep.She thought since all the lights were off.
She tiptoed towards the staircase without making any sound as she didn't want to wake anyone and invite trouble for herself.
Feeling proud of how she successfully managed to sneak out, she wanted to give herself a pat of appreciation. But For now, the only thing she needed to do was to get inside her shared room with Minji as quickly as possible.
As She was about to take another step forward, the lights of the living room flickered on. She instantly froze on her spot and her eyes widened like a deer caught in headlights.
"J-Jungkook, why are you not asleep yet?" She asked while smiling nervously.
"Where were you until now?" He asked with a solemn face.
"I was here all this time. I think you just didn't notice me." She replied as she laughed awkwardly.
Wow. What a lame excuse. Great! Good job, Shi-Eon.
Jungkook crossed his arms, he knows his friend is terrible at making on-the-spot lies especially when she panics, "Just give up and tell me where were you?"
Feeling the pressure of Jungkook's intense gaze, she avoided eye contact and thought it might be better to tell him the truth.
"I-I was---"
"Why are both still up? Aren't you guys sleepy?" Hyunjin asked, causing Jungkook to look over his shoulder.
There He was..... rubbing his eyes whilst peeking through his shared room.
Noticing how Jungkook's focus deviated from her, she took the opportunity and fled.
"I'm really tired and sleepy right now! Let's talk later, Kook!" Her voice trailed as she ran upstairs.
"Hey! We're not done talking yet!!" Jungkook yelled, being only able to spot the shadow of her escaping self.
"Goodnight!!" She yelled back from her room. She prepared a mental note to treat her brother nicely as thanks for saving her again this time.
He sighed and looked at Hyunjin who was drooling in his sleep whilst standing by the doorframe. Jungkook rolled his eyes before dragging Hyunjin back into the room.

The next day, Jungkook tried to ask Shi-Eon about last night but no matter how many times he asked her, she wouldn't open her mouth.
