Black Cat's POV

I looked back and could see Spidey was still chasing me. "I haven't even stolen anything, bug boy!", I shouted behind me.

I could hear his webs thwip as he tried to get closer to me. Any time he did I would throw a flash bomb to put some distance between us.

As I kept running I could no longer hear his webs. Stopping in my tracks I looked around. I was quiet and vigilant. There's no way he just left. He's gotta be around here waiting to attack.

"You know I didn't pick you as someone to hide like some coward", I was hoping hurting his pride would lure him out, but no luck.

Standing very still I listened for any movement. My head jerked to the side when I heard a fluttering noise. Cautiously I walked over to investigate. I saw a small black figure. I reached my hand out to touch it, but a flock of pigeons flew into my face. "Damn birds", I swatted them away with my hands.

The birds still flying in my face I wasn't able to see two feet in front of me. "What is it with birds and me!", I grunted. For as long as I could remember birds tended to always be drawn to me which is pretty ironic considering i'm Black Cat.

I was finally able to get the last bird out of my face. It was then I heard an all too familiar sound...Spider-man's web. I turned to my right and could see him swinging towards me. Before I was even able to move he slammed his feet into my side.

"Ouch!", my body flew across the rooftop. I could see the edge of the building getting closer the more I rolled.

Reaching the edge I could feel myself start to fall back. "Hey...hey! Hey!", I tried to grab the building, but missed.

I closed my eyes waiting to come in contact with the ground, but it never came. I slowly opened my eyes back up. I was...floating?

"Hay is for horses"

Looking up I could see Spider-man holding onto to me. I cringed at his joke. "That was bad even for you"

"I was in a pinch"

"Still"

Holding me by my wrist he pushed me against the side of the building. He stuck to the side of the building upside down and leaning over me."Now can we talk like human beings?", I could sense a hint of annoyance in his words.

I wanted to push his buttons even more. How much can he handle? "Feels pretty human to me", I smirked.

He let out a sigh and shook his head before pulling me back up to the rooftop.

We both crouched down across from each other. I looked down and notice his hand was still wrapped around my wrist. I pointed down at it. "So you gonna let go now?"

He gripped my wrist harder, but not enough to hurt. "Why so you can run away?"

"Well...", I said with a smile.

It was hard to tell what he was doing under that mask, but his body language told me everything I needed to know.

"If you're not gonna let me go then what are you going to do?"

He stayed quiet as he pondered my question. He then looked up at me in my eyes. Or I think he did. It's not easy to tell with the spider lenses.

"Turn you in, I guess"

I raised my eye brow at him. "You guess...?"

He simply nodded his head. "You don't seem very sure. Perhaps you don't want to turn me in"

"You're a criminal, of course I want to turn you in", he stood up and pulled me with him.

He seems different tonight. His playful aura wasn't the same as usual. It seemed more angry. Did something happen to him?
