Peter's POV

I stayed on top of a building watching the murder scene from below. Fisk's men laid everywhere with a puddle of blood around them.

"Who could've done this?", I wondered out loud. Using my lenses I zoomed in looking around for clues. After a few minutes something finally caught my eye.

I swung down to get a better look. In the palm of one of the victims laid a crumpled paper. I picked it up to read it.

                                   You're next, Fisk

                                             - B.C

I froze at the initials. There's only one person who could sign B.C. No, it can't be her. Y/n is a lot of things, but a murderer isn't one of them.

"Spider-man!", one of the police officers shouted toward me. "What'd you find?"

I quickly hid the paper in my suit. I can't let them see this. At least, not until I can prove it's not her.

"Nothing. Sorry to disappoint"

"Yeah, you've been doing that a lot recently", the officer grumbled as he walked away. Uh...ouch.

Okay, okay I gotta think about this. Y/n and Fisk do have a past, but not a very good one. Fisk seems to care deeply for her. While y/n absolutely loathes him. If I'm gonna figure this out i'm gonna need some help.

I swung back to my apartment and quickly took off my suit. Grabbing my phone I scrolled through my contacts looking for a certain someone. Finally finding it I tapped on the caller ID.

"Hello", they spoke from the other side of the phone.

"Hey, Miles. You busy with school right now?", I asked.

"No, I just finished up some homework. Did you need something?"

Walking over to my couch I sat down. "Yeah, actually. I need some help"

"Wait!", he spoke excitedly. "Is this hero work? Are you in the middle of catching a criminal?!"

I laughed at his excitement. Miles found out my secret after I found out his. He's been trying to get me to train him on becoming the next Spider-man, but I told
him to focus on school right now. Every once in awhile I'll include him in things like this. Miles being a complete God on the computer makes him very useful in situations like this. He'll find any information on anything in an instant.

"Just come over to my apartment, okay"

"Y-yeah sure! I'll be there in about 5 minutes"

My eyebrows furrowed at his words. 5 minutes? He lives 20 minutes away. It was then I remembered I let him borrow some of my webs. I forgot to get them back from him.

"Miles don't swing over he-". It was too late. He already hung up. I sighed at the thought of him swinging to get here.

Being Spider-man isn't the most ideal thing right now. He could get harassed out there from people assuming that he's the real Spider-man.

Few minutes later and there was a knock on the window. Miles was on the other side with a big smile on his face and one of my old Spider-man mask gripped in his hand. I walked over and slid the window open. As he came in a weird odor was coming from him. I pinched my nose to keep the smell out.

"What's that smell?", I asked and waved that air around to get the smell to leave. "When I was swinging I lost my grip and fell into the street. Some guy came over and kicked a trash can near me. All the trash fell right on top of me. I think there were a couple drinks in there", he said sheepishly.
