You were on your way to pick up Hinata to hang out like you usually do on Wednesday's. You two have become pretty close and even shared your crushes with one another.

Her crush on Naruto wasn't a secret and to be honest it's a huge surprise that he hasn't put two and two together and noticed yet. But your crush on Neji has been hidden but apparent ever since you even started school.

The both of you were in the same class and that never changed other than being in different squads. He was so busy now a days that you never got to see him, making you a little jealous of Hinata since he's always around her and her house.

Once you arrived at Hinata's doorstep, you knocked but it only took one knock for the door to open. Someone was leaving the same time you were about to enter. It was Neji.

The random greeting shocked you a little but not too much. Hinata was right behind him giggling as Neji spoke to someone in another room with his head turned not noticing you there.

Hinata rushed out the door and pulled you into the door. But while doing so Neji turned and you ran into his chest making you both pause.

"I-" You looked up at Neji who was starting to apologize. "No no it's my fault." For some reason he had a tent of pink on his face. To be honest your face warmed as-well.

"No y/n it is my fault. I should have stayed where I was I didn't notice you were coming through." He moved out the way while Hinata blushed getting nervous from what she just did and ran out the way so you didn't go strait to accuse her even though she did pull you.

You both stood there in silence not knowing what to say, until he spoke to you.

"Actually.... y/n I was meaning to speak with you... and since you are here I guess it would be the perfect time to... ask you."

Your heart and mind started to race with all the things he could be about to ask or say. Since your conversations are usually fast and straight to the point.

"Yeah?"

"Well uh..." his eyes trailed off a little almost like he was a bit anxious about something. But you couldn't tell since he's never showed this type of emotion around you.

"....what is it."

"....I wanted to ask" he looked at you, making eye contact but before he could finish his sentence kiba and okamaru came up to the door.

"Hey Neji come on what's taking you so long.... ooOOoh." His attention was turned towards them but he didn't say anything after a few seconds  until he answered back before your gaze could be lead to Kiba almost like he didn't want you to.
