As you stood watching your children play in the yard, you started their dinner. Nothing could take this much happiness from you. Everything was now so peaceful. So simple. Besides the love of your life being elsewhere, forced to live a life that's not his. You sheltered your young boys from the pain of the Uchiha Clan.

~I just wish he could stay and be there for them. He won't say it but I know he wishes he could. It's been 7 years since...~

You shook your head not wanting to think about it and set the table. Going to the door, you called out for them Watching them you smiled. Something you didn't think would be possible for a long time before having your first born.

"Come on you two. Time to take a bath before you eat!" They turned and ran in your direction hurrying to the house taking off their shoes.

"HA I beat you!"

"No you didn't!!" They raced in everything like they had something to prove to the other. You followed behind as they even raced to be first in the bath water. Even after the bath they raced to the dinner table.

"OO OO MOM!"

"Yes?" You set their utensils down on the table.

"Is dad coming tonight?" Hearing his question, you froze just the second before his older brother hit his shoulder.

"You know we're not supposed to talk about him. Now we won't get any dessert because of you."

"Nuh uh! I was just asking-"

"Stop arguing, both of you." You looked at the table before finishing putting things in place. "To answer your question. I'm not sure when he's coming next. So don't worry about that and-"

"What's not to worry about." You jumped, Turing and seeing Itachi at the back door. Your kids jumped up and ran to him.

He always appeared at the strangest of times. It made since though. If anyone saw him and caught onto his pattern anything could go wrong. Some nights he'd just visit you in your sleep and not let the boys realize he was over, once every other month. He's explained to you why, but the boys just don't understand. They love him with all their hearts and even think he's pretty cool. But Itachi wants them to stay away from being ninja or shinobi while also growing strong in order to protect each other.

Though he has mixed emotions about this fact, he smiled and sat at the table watching as his two sons showed off what they "trained" themselves on.

"You're getting faster. You've grown so big and soon your little brother will do the same." With the oldest being born only 9 months after that night it took him 3 years to be able to sit in front of him and smile. That's when your second born came. Now you have one 7 year old and one 4 year old. Both boys are smart for their age and have grown so fast.

"Daddy, I wanna show you something."

"Yeah? What is it." Though Itachi didn't react, you sure did when he pulled out a paper version of a kunai.  "Where did you get that?"

"I made it. Do you like it?" He played with it like he was training.

"It's just like mine."

"Yeah! I made it so when you train me, I can use this so you don't have to worry about me getting hurt.
