"I knew you wouldn't stay away," a deep voice said from behind. Did he really think I'd change my mind? I was born to be stubborn. "Oh Kenny boy, don't let me kick more ass than you today. I'd be disappointed to find out my master couldn't keep up." You joked at him. He let out a laugh and nudged your shoulder. "Alight everyone, listen up. Valhalla has twice as many members as us but you all are strong. Stick together and don't die." I'm not one to get nervous over a fight but hearing Draken speak turned my stomach upside down. Watching him make his way to the middle of the car lot, the main spectator for today began to speak. And as if only seconds had passed, the fight began.
The clear line between white and black quickly faded as both sides rushed to action. Two average sized guys came running at me with clenched fists. Ha, they really think they can get their first hit on me because I'm a girl, goodluck to them I guess. Locking my feet into position, flexing my arms, and waiting for the right moment. In the blink of an eye my hands collided with both men's faces sending them straight to the ground. For good measure, kicking them both in the stomach to ensure they stay down. Punch after punch, kick after kick, not even feeling out of breathe. "Kiyoko!" a familiar voice yelled. Turning around, wiping blood off my face I was met with Mitsuya. "How ya doing? Looks like that hurts." Pointing at a small welt on his. He laughed and rolled his eyes, "Didn't even notice it." As we went back and forth poking fun at each other a group of Valhalla members began to approach. Without even thinking about it we were back to back. "Even split, three and three. Don't make me help you take out the trash." I said tapping his shoulder to let him know I was ready.
It felt like hours had passed and Valhalla remained standing strong with its insane amount of members. I swear they keep growing, where are they even coming from. Taking a minute to catch my breathe and look around for my friends. Spotting most of them, feeling relieved but still worried because one was missing. Draken. Where the hell are you. Trying to sneak through the wild crowd without taking anymore hits, eyes scanning every face with a black jacket. Come on Draken where the hell are y- It felt like the whole world stopped. Not being able to move, not being able to breathe. "No. No. No. No. No!" Muttering, all my strength being used to move my feet as I bolted across the lot. That stupid blonde boy kneeling on the ground spitting out words I couldn't understand. He held his hands on the side of a once black jacket that now looked red from all the blood spilling out of the person underneath the clothes. "KIYOKO" he shouted, "W-What do I do?! Draken. He's been-" His wails drowned out his words. This is NOT the time to freeze up. Pushing the bitch boy out of the way I leaned over and used everything left in me to slump draken over my back. "Takebitchy! Come with me, call an ambulance!" I shouted at him as I limped forward to get out of sight of the fight. "Ki what the hell happened!" Turning your head to see Mitsuya running up. "Not sure but we need to get him out of here. Where's mikey?" He shook his head and took some of the weight of Draken off me as we found a spot behind a pile of cars. Tearing my jacket off and wrapping the wound as best I could, sirens began to ring in the distance.
Letting out a deep breathe that was held for way to long, I opened my eyes to only be met with the white hospital wall across from me. My mind was completely empty and my body felt cold. "Here," a soft voice said, "for your wounds." Mitsuya was there holding a bin of first aide supplies. I couldn't help but just stare at him, he looked bad and I couldn't form any words. My eyes followed him as he sat next to me and took one of my hands. Not even feeling the pain of the alcohol on my wounds as he cleaned them, I mumbled, "I can't lose him." Mitsuyas watery eyes met mine. We both were trying not to cry. We sat in silence together for what felt like ages.
Draken is the closest thing I have to family. When we were only 6 years old he took me in. He didn't even have a real home to take me to. That's how we ended up growing up in the brothel together. I never knew my parents. My aunt was responsible for me once both my parents were gone. She lived in a rich neighborhood filled with uptight assholes. A place I did not fit in to. She didn't want me and she made sure I knew that. Since I was neglected at "home" I acted out in school so that I didn't have to be there either. Draken found me one day being bullied by a group of boys and took them all on to help me. That's the day my life changed forever. I owe Ken Ryugui my life. He saved me that day... from everyone and from myself.
I'm brought back to reality when a doctor approaches us. "Are you with Mr. Ryuguji?" He questions. Simultaneously we both shake our heads and stand up. "Ah, good. Mr. Ryuguji is out of surgery and will make a full recovery. If you follow me, I'll show you to his room. He can't have visitors for the first twenty four hours as we monitor him but I will be sure to let him know he's got friends waiting for him." The tears I've been holding back for hours now begin to rush down my face. Mitsuya pulls me into a tight hug, "he's to badass to leave us like that." Composing myself as much as I can as we follow the doctor through the hospital halls he halts at a door at the end of the hall. "This is where you can come visit your friend starting tomorrow. You'll just have to fill out some paper work before hand whenever your ready." The doctor smiles at us and walks away. I walk up to the door and look through the window panel. Lying in the stark white room is Draken.
