Damn, I haven't woken up feeling this sick in a long time. My head was pounding and my body felt like jello. Blinking my eyes a few times to fully open my heavy lids and allow my eyes to adjust to my surroundings. Surroundings that did not belong to me or any room in the Sano house. Panic set in as I stared at the familiar black and white tapestry on the ceiling. Slightly shifting my head to the side I was faced with a messy blonde braid. My heart was beating so abruptly, that alone could shake the building. Slamming my eyes shut I slowly lifted the blanket off of me. Barley squinting them open I silently gasped as I looked down at my completely naked body. Fuck. No. No. This didn't happen. Did it? I couldn't remember anything from last night. As quick as I could without making any unnecessary movements or noises I slid out of the bed and gathered my clothes off the floor from the night before. Where the fuck are my underwear?! I don't have time for this. I slipped my dress on and quietly unlocked the door. "I didn't take you for a hit and run kinda girl." A raspy voice said. "I um- I just didn't want to wake you." I said turning to face him not being able to look him in the eyes as I stared at the scar from his stab wound. "Did we um-" I started. I'd spent plenty of nights in his room before but we've never woken up naked. He let out a small laugh, "you don't remember?" My face turning crimson red as I tried to search my blurry brain for any memory of last night. My memories usually take a few hours to come back to me after being hungover. "Give it a few hours and I might." I nervously laughed. Draken reached over to the side of the bed and tossed something at me. "Well you'll be glad to know we didn't get that far." He looked down embarrassed as I looked down at my panties he had tossed me. "One of the customers went wild last night and destroyed one of the rooms while Remi was in it with him. We were interrupted... it's a good thing we ended up here though because I had to kick the door down to get in. The girls wouldn't have been able to do that. By the time I got back in here you were asleep but I guess the mood was ruined anyways." He rubbed the back of his head. "That's uh good then." Unsure of what to say. "I'm gonna um go take a shower." The awkwardness in the room was suffocating. I couldn't read him at all. Did he want something to happen? Did I want something to happen?
Sneaking out of his room I darted to the private showers. Washing all my sins away trying to remember any details I could of what happened last night. Back in my room I threw on a pair of grey biker shorts and a black shirt with a floral print. Realizing how hungry I was I headed to the break room to find a snack. A few of the girls were sitting around chatting before their day began. "Well good morning sunshine." They greeted me all with suspicious looks on there faces. "Morning," I said grabbing a donut. "So how was your night?" Sakura asked, giving me a cheeky grin. "It was good." My voice cracked. The girls chuckled to themselves. "Hear about what happened last night?" Yuki questioned me. "Um yeah Draken sort of told me what happened. I would have killed that basted had I known last night." I answered pouring myself a cup of coffee. "Yeah, thank goodness draken was here since we didn't have any guys on shift." My heart rate started to rise a little as they all spoke with slight suspicion in there voices. "What were you two doing anyways last night?" I choked on my coffee as the question was asked. Coughing, sakura spoke, "We didn't expect you two to be here. None of us even saw you come in." They know, they have to know. "We uh-" trying to come up with a lie on the spot I'm cut off. "Before you try to lie to us just know I saw draken last night." Giving her a confused look back. "And by saw I mean he came out in sweatpants and those don't hide anything my dear. His shirt was also on backwards. It also seems you both forgot about the hall security cams that alert for any movement." I busted out laughing as my face caught fire from embarrassment. "I can't even remember." I hid my face in my hands. We are so stupid. "He said we didn't get far but I couldn't even find my panties this morning." The girls laughed with me. I've never been able to get anything personal past them. "Well it's about damn time y'all get together." Eating my breakfast I spilled the small details I could remember. Not long after, Draken walked through the door. "Good morning," he said smiling at each girl, "we've gotta go. Mikey texted." Waiting at the elevator neither of us spoke. We've gotta figure out what we're gonna tell everyone. There's no way they didn't see us in the club and no way they aren't suspicious about us leaving. Stepping into the elevator I broke the silence, "So uh I'm sure we're gonna be questioned about last night. You know for disappearing from the club." He chuckled, "I was thinking the same thing. We can tell the truth." I shot him a death glare, "let me finish" he said putting his hands up in defense, "I'd rather lie too. Shouldn't be to hard since not a lot happened. Right?"
The ride to the Sano home was silent. We've gotta act normal so they don't find us suspicious. Walking in we were met with Mikey and Chifuyu. "Well hello you two." Chifuyu playfully said. "Where have you two been?" Mikey was always so blunt. "We stayed at home last night." My palms started to get clamy as draken answered him. "You two left early last night. Didn't tell anyone either." Mikey had his detective face on at this point and chifuyu tried to not laugh as we made awkward eye contact. "I wasn't feeling well. Dancing and tons of alcohol don't always go well together. Draken took me home since it was close and I didn't want to get sick in public." I nervously joked, trying to sound convincing. By the looks of there faces it was not convincing but they dropped the subject. I headed to Emma's room so the boys could talk about whatever Mikey was so eager to share. "Oh hey you're home." She said in a less cheerful voice than usual. "Yeah, sorry I left you last night I wasn't feeling well. I sure paid for all the sins I committed at the club." She didn't laugh with me as I spoke. Something is definitely up. "Everything okay?" Concern written on my face as I sat across from her on the bed. She twittled her thumbs for a second. "I saw what happened before you left." She whispered. My eyes grew big and face flushed. "Wh-what do you mean?" Trying to play it off cool. I shouldn't lie to her. She's my best friend and we share everything but I don't even know what's going on between Draken and I to share this with her. Her honey eyes met mine. "Why didn't you tell me about you and Draken? You never even told me you liked him." Her voice was filled with betrayl. "I- There's nothing to tell. I have no idea what got into us last night. This has never happened before. He's like a brother to me, I could never like him like that. We were so intoxicated." Emma can probably hear my heart pounding in my chest. If she saw us then that means others saw too. What have we gotten ourselves into. "They say drunken actions are what you hide when sober. You two were making out on the dance floor one second and gone the next. Then you show up here like nothing happened when there's evidence staring back at me. I never thought you'd lie to me Kiyoko." My heart sank to my stomach as she spoke. What does she mean by evidence. "And you didn't even try to cover it with makeup?" My hand flew to my neck as another memory of last night was unlocked. "I'm so sorry Emma. I'm not trying to hide anything from you, I promise. I just haven't figured out what happened. I can barley remember it but believe me when I say we didn't get far after we left." This is it. I've gotta tell her everything I know. After a few minutes of me rambling on I saw tears start to form in her eyes. She jumped up from the bed and ran to the bathroom. Did I do something wrong? "Emma? What's wrong?" I said pressing my hands up to the door. Behind sniffling I heard her cry out, "I- I-" she opened the door with puffy eyes, "I never told you because of how close you are to Draken. I was afraid it may accidently slip out one day to him but I-" She paused to wipe a few more tears away, "I sorta have feelings for him." My mouth dropped. Did she just say what I think she did? After what I just shared with her. Lord, why is this happening to me. I'm seriously going to hell. "You don't have to say anything though. It's not your fault I never told you. This whole thing threw me off guard but I'll be okay. You two mean the world to me and I want you both to be happy. Also, let's promise to always be open about anything with each other. Even the stuff we're scared of saying. I want to know all the tea between you and Draken still. Don't you ever hold out on me. Got it." I shook my head and hugged her tightly.
A few hours later I found myself at a last minute Toman meeting. As the captains arrived we all sat around talking, mostly about what's happening in this meeting. An arm wrapped around my shoulders, scaring me. "Hey, hey. I'm really disappointed that my dance partner ditched me last night." It was Baji, still looking hungover. I wrapped my arm around his waist." Hey, let's not forgot you also ditched me for a girl who couldn't catch a beat. Not to mention you let me get swooped away." Baji gasped and threw his hand over his heart. This is how we always were. Throwing banter at each other like an old married couple. "Ouch" he laughed nudging me with his head. "Yo Draken, so you finally got some pus-" I dug my nails into the back of Bajis arm to stop him from going on. Giving him the death glare as he winced in pain. "Say one more word and you're dead." He remained silent as everyone slowly looked away confused as to what was going on. Once the attention was off us I released my hand and little drops of blood rolled down his arm. "Damn girl I need claws like that." I wiggled my fingers in front of him to show them off. "So tell me then," he eyed me shimmying his shoulders. "Nothing to tell," leaving it at that as I walked away.
A few minutes later the meeting started. Mikey shared for the first time at an official meeting of Tomans Victory and welcomed all the new Valhalla members. He also shared that because of the impression we left on some of the spectators we were invited to the infamous Haitani brothers Christmas party in a few weeks. The crowd cheered and the meeting came to a close.
