ShaYush - You're Beautiful

Shalu's P.O.V.

"Shalu!" Ayush called my name as I speed walked away from him, "Shalu!"

"What?" I said crossing my arms waiting for him to catch up,  Ayush ran over standing in front of me out of breath, 

"Why do you walk so fast?"

"Is that what you wanted to say?" I say angrily walking away, causing him to groan, 

"Shalu, just give me a second." He said grabbing my hand stopping me effectively, 

"Why don't you go back to your Shona Mona Tona," I taunted trying to take my arm out of his grip but he pulled me closer.

"Tum Jealous Ho?" (Are you jealous?)

"Please." I scoffed, "Mera haath chodo." (Let go of my hand) Instead of loosening his grip, he tightened it smirking, "Ayush."

"Rishi Bhai said to take care of you, so I can't let go...but you can give me company while I look for my life partner."

Rolling my eyes I shake my head, "I want to go home."

"Nope, Lakshmi will get mad that you went alone, let's go back inside." Standing firmly I give him a pointed look. "Shalu,"

Both of us were stubborn I huffed looking away from him, "Fine," I heard him say, groaning he leaned down lifting me up by my waist he threw me over his shoulder, 

"Ayush!" I protested hitting his back, "Ayush let me down,"

"I asked nicely and you didn't listen." He said, kicking and punching I tried to get him to drop me, but I was unsuccessful until we came to the side of Viraj's house, "Shalu, stop hitting me."

"Let me down," I snapped back, Ayush roughly dropped me on my feet before pushing me against the side of the house, trapping me with either side, "What are you doing?!"

"Why do you never listen to me?"

"Koan ho tum?" (Who are you?) "Why should I listen to you?"

"Shalu, ab bhot horahe hain." (Shalu, you are stepping over your limit) "What did I do?"

What did he do? He was flirting with that stupid bimbo Mona in front of me, and then he was rude and insulting to me and he's asking what he did! "Nothing, I just want to go home."

Ayush sighed backing off he sat down on the ground throwing rocks in the pool they had in the back yard, "Well, I cant take you anywhere until the party is over. Rishi Bhai had said to bring you so Lakshmi doesnt feel lonely but you are too busy fighting with me."

I don't know what happens when I see him with other girls, I just get so mad, I mean he has no shame, he sees a girl and starts flirting, in front of me! 

Exhaling deeply I sit down beside him, "Viraj's Dada is really nice." I mumble trying to change the topic, 

"Mhm, when we were younger he always use to bring chocolates for all of us. Rishi Bhai, Sonia, Ahana, Devika, Malishka, and I use to fight over it."

A soft smile made its way on my face, "Our Bhuji did the same, except not with chocolate...gulab jamun. Lakshmi Di's favorite but Bani and I use to steal them...then Ma would find us eating them in our rooms."

Ayush smiled, "I never met my dad...Mama, stepped in his shoes, giving mom, Ahana, and I the same space as Rishi Bhai and Sonia."

Sad I gently grabbed his hand, he looked at me surprised, "I'm okay."

"It's okay not to be okay," I whispered as he intertwined our fingers, "And I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gotten mad at you."

He searched my eyes for some kind of answer, "It's okay, I know I'm handsome...all the girls want me."

"Ehh," I squealed trying to take my hand out of his but he had a tight grip, "Shut up Ayush."

He laughed shaking his head...joining in I laid my head on his shoulder, "Shalu?"

"Mhm?"

"Tum bhi kaam nahi ho," (You're not that bad either)

"Huh?"

"Shalu," Ayush said gently grabbing my face, "I am complimenting you," 

My heart started to beat faster, I kept quiet, "You're beautiful."

I didn't know how to respond I could hear my heartbeat in my ears, "T-Thank you?"

Ayush, let go of my face breaking out in a laughing fit, as I sat there admiring him...He wasn't wrong...maybe I was a little jealous...
