Rishi's P.O.V.

"Rishi!" Lakshmi giggled looking out the window, "Rishi aa ke deko mausam kitne acha hai." (Rishi, come look how beautiful the weather is!) A soft smile tugged my lips as I saw her play with the raindrops from our balcony, "Dekho toh!" (Look!)

"Tumhe baarish achi lagti hai?" I ask leaning against the door frame admiring how the rain was highlighting every feature on her face...making her more beautiful if that was even possible.

"Sirf achi nahi, mujhe bohot pasand lagti hai." (I don't just like it, I love it.) "Back when Shali, Bani, and I were little, we use to go out and play then Ma would get mad when we came back sick."

"Mmh?"

"Yeah." She confirmed, "You don't like it?"

"Sometimes," I sighed, "Not as much as you though. When Ayush and I were younger we use to play soccer in the rain all the time but Ma got mad when we got sick too."

Lakshmi's sari was clinging to her body I didn't think she noticed but she looked so gorgeous, everything about her...she looked heavenly, "It's been a while since I've been in the rain." I stepped out in the rain as well walking towards her causing her smile to drop slightly, breathing in I kept my eyes on her... gently brushing some hair away from her face I brush my fingers against her cheek, "It's nice."

"Huh?"

Smiling I pull her closer to me gently intertwining our fingers  with one hand, I lift her other hand to rest on my shoulder as I slide my arm around her waist pulling her flush against me, "Have you ever danced in the rain?"

Lakshmi shook her head, "N-Nahi." (N-No)

"First time for everything right?" I whispered slowly beginning to move with her in my arms as she followed my steps.

"No music." She whispered back,

I gestured her to lean closer which she did, "You don't hear it?"

"Mhm," She denied,

"Aur pass aho." (Come closer) Lakshmi furrowed her eyebrow before taking a step closer if possible leaning towards me, "Still can't hear it?"

"Rishi...what am I supposed to hear? There's no music." She giggled, "But I do like dancing with you...in the rain..."

The rain came down harder drenching us even more, "I can hear it."

"How?"

Lifting my hand up I point to her heart, "Tumhari dhakana...sab se khubsoorat dhun." (Your heartbeat, the perfect melody.)

Her cheeks coated with a light pink blush, "Kuch bhi!" (Seriously!)

Grinning myself, I leaned down kissing her cheek "What can I say Mrs. Oberoi, you have me wrapped around your little finger."

Lakshmi bit her lip before resting her head on my chest, "Now I can hear my own music..."

"Rishi Bhai! Open the door!" Ayush called drumming against the door as I stood against it will my back against it holding a bottle of vodka "Rishi Bhai! Please."

"Jao yaha se Ayush." ( Leave Ayush) I yelled back, "I'm not opening the door." Taking a swing from the bottle I stumbled towards the bed, trying to push back any memory of Lakshmi.

"I am not going anywhere, Rishi Bhai, stop drinking."

Squeezing my eyes shut I ignore him chugging back half of the bottle, before breaking it throwing it against the ground, "Rishi Bhai!"

"Ayush Leave Me Alone!" I snapped, "Nahi pee raha. Ab Jao!"  (I'm not drinking, leave now)

His thumping against the door stopped, "I'm coming back in five minutes Bhai...if the door isn't open I'll break it down."

Grumbling I slump down on the bed staring up at the ceiling, I never thought that her leaving would bother me so much...I never thought that she would become such a big part of my life...I never thought that I would end up falling in love with her...but I did.

And now...I'm alone...completely alone. The clouds thundered outside, it was going to rain soon...groaning I got up whipping open the balcony doors, I inhale the fresh breezy air...she loved this weather...and now this is the only thing I had left of her...the clouds fought against each other one more time until the rain heavily came down successfully drenching me completely...

The old Rishi would have cared...but this Rishi...

Lakshmi's laugh echoed in my ears, "Rishi! Baar aajao! Dekho baarish ho rahi hai" (Rishi come outside, it's raining!)

Slowly falling down against the door I sat in the rain as it mercilessly came down on me, finally letting my emotions out I let out a cry, "Lakshmi!" I yelled out in the open, hoping she would run back to me, "Lakshmi! Wapas aajao na! Please...wapas aajao."  (Come back! Please come back!)

My happiness laid in the rain just yesterday but tonight...it helped masked my tears...
