I sat there, wondering how I was.
What we were.
What we could be.
Yet there's still him...
You don't understand my hatred towards him.
He broke us apart,
Like thin glass,
Ruining this heart.
That day when you told me what you did together,
It broke me, yet I maintained a smile.
Just for you, for your happiness
Whilst I internally cried meanwhile.
We did all those things together,
Yet you turned back and did the same with him.
I reached out far, but what did I feel?
Emptiness, for I didn't know what we were.
For those days were gone,
The one I desired was you.
I unfortunately let you slip away from my fingers,
But there was nothing for me to do.
You should've been mine
But who was I to say?
It's only because of him
That you slipped away.
He ruins all potential for us to be
I just want to change it all.
You with me,
For someone else, he'd fall.
I want to take him out of the entire picture
But he means everything to you.
I couldn't do that to you...
You know that's something I won't do.
Only because you deserve the world.
I wouldn't dare do something to hurt you, you see.
Knowing you deserve someone good
But that one person mustn't be me.
