Poem 9 - always waiting

17 3 3

The other girl gave me her sweater,

Something I wish that you'd do for me.

I just want your love, and please remember,

I'll hold it carefully.

As fragile as a flower, love.

I just want you to be mine.

With your gentle brown eyes,

That no one knew could shine.

You know... You're the one I desire.

Just acknowledge me for one time!

I just want you to be mine,

Then I'll show you this poem with a lovely rhyme.

As you take me with open arms,

I'll say that you're mine.

Then this empty feeling shall be replaced

With happiness, I'll call you divine.

Yet until that day I shall continue.

I shall wait or I will move on.

If you don't want me, I'll accept it...

But if you feel the same, our love shall dawn.
