I don't even know you.
What have you done to me?
This is something I thought I'd never do,
But you opened my eyes to help me see.
I don't even know your name.
We live so close, but we barely talk.
You make me burn like a wild flame,
Then all I see in front of me is a block.
Who or what are you talking about?
It's society, I say.
They say things that make me doubt,
I'd think it's wrong, so I'd pray.
You're only a couple years older than me
But we've never said a word.
If I see you, my face lights up with glee,
If I'd talk to you, I can imagine it'd all be slurred.
Your sister refuses to tell me your name,
Here I am, hoping that no one will know.
If she won't tell me, it's such a shame,
I know enough about you... You'll never know, though.

Well, I finally got the strength today,
I asked you, "What's your name?".
You responded with a, "Hey"
Before telling me your name.
I saw you later that day,
You had a smile on your face.
I watched as you listened to music today,
Making your contagious smile have the same effect on me in place.
