Chapter 10

(Y/N)'s POV
After teleporting somewhere in the forest where people aren't present, I fell on my knees and started sobbing loudly. I'm sure that Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko are gonna be mad at me for leaving them. I need to go back and save them. Suddenly, I heard someone coming at me from behind. I looked behind me to see a demon running at me at full speed. I raised my hand and was about to use my power, but someone cut the demon's head off before I could kill it. I looked to see who killed the demon but my eyes widened under my mask that a demon saved me. It was a tall and muscular man who has six eyes with the middle set of eyes saying "Upper Moon One", long black spiky hair in a ponytail with red tips, pale skin, wears black hakama pants, and a black and purple patterned kimono. What if he kills me next? I pointed my hand towards him and was about to use my power on him but the next move he did shock me. He sheathed his sword and put his hands up as a sign that he won't harm me.

"I'm not...here to hurt you," the man said.

"Who are you? Why did you save me if you're a demon?" I asked.

"My name... is Kokushibo. I had...a feeling...to save you," Kokushibo said. I stood up and bowed for a little bit.

"Thank you for saving me Kokushibo, but I have to get going now," I said and started walking away since I don't want him to find out about my powers since I don't trust him. I heard footsteps following me so I turned around to see Kokushibo following me.

"Why are you following me?" I asked. Kokushibo started fiddling with his fingers and looked down.

"I...want to come...with you," he said. I thought for a bit. Does he feel lonely? Or is he tricking me so he can kill me later? I decided to trust him for now but if he betrays me then I will use my powers to kill him.

"Fine you can come with me but under one condition and that is to stop harming humans," I said and he nodded. I didn't notice a smile forming on his face. Since he is a demon, he needs something to protect himself from the sun because it is almost morning. While walking around the forest, Kokushibo found an abandoned house and we entered it. When we entered the house, I see a box that looks like the one Tanjiro has for Nezuko. Kokushibo shrunk himself into a child and went into the box. I bent down and observed Kokushibo while he looked at me. I started patting his head then he started purring which made me smile under my mask because this reminds me of Nezuko. I closed the door of the box then stood up and got out of the house then I could hear Kokushibo snore. I'm coming back to you Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. I teleported to where they are.

No one's POV
"Hey, wake up! Wake up! Come on we don't have all day so get up you idiot!" a kakushi said demandingly which made Tanjiro wake up quickly.

"Bummer. I heard he was a demon slayer with a demon in tow, so I was looking forward to seeing someone flamboyant, but that's one drab-looking kid," a voice said.

"And we're here for this boy's trial!" another voice said.

"W-Who are these peop–" Tanjiro got interrupted when the kakushi slammed his head to the ground.

"Don't open your mouth just yet until you're told to, you moron! You are in the presence of the Hashiras!" the kakushi said. Tanjiro had so many questions coming into his mind.

"This is the demon slayer headquarters. And you're about to be put on trial...Tanjiro Kamado," Shinobu said.

"Before we start the trial, why don't you explain the crime you've comm–" Shinobu was suddenly interrupted by someone.

"There's no need for a trial. Protecting a demon is a clear violation! We can deal with this on our own! We're going to behead him along with the demon!" Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, said.
