AN// new story, yay :) Also, I feel like Zack isn't appreciated enough so I thought you know what, I love him, he deserves just as much recognition as Jack and Alex so instead of doing one about them (which I was asked to do a lot) I decided to write about Zack.

"Sweetie, are you packed?" I looked around my room, all the brown boxes covering every inch of my floor and the plain walls that were covered in posters of bands only yesterday.

I sighed at the repetitive question. "Yes mom, you can come in, I'm packed."

She opened my door and gasped when she entered. I don't blame her, it's a huge change. My room is usually a hole full of noise, instruments and posters. The only things here now are boring brown boxes, my bed frame, and my closet.

"Wow," she collected herself and continued "the movers are going to be here in an hour. I suggest not wearing that." She looked down at my band tee and pajama pants in distaste and her heels clicked as she walked out of my room.

"What's wrong with my pajama's?" I called after her, only getting a response a few minutes later.

"Just change Justice. You have to meet Bassam's son today!" I groaned. I have to meet my Mom's boyfriends son? Just great.

My Mom has been with Bassam Barakat for almost 3 years, and they've suddenly decided that they have to move in together.

I looked down at my Blink 182 tee, which is a size too big for me, and my Minnie Mouse pajama pants. This is a good outfit to meet someone's son isn't it? I don't know why my mother would think otherwise.

In other words, I'm feeling much too lazy to search all my boxes for different clothes when half of them have already been driven to the new house anyway.

Apparently, our house isn't big enough to support 4 people, so we have to move to Bassams house. It's not like I have any good friends to keep me here anyway, or a good school. I go- well went now, to a private school in which people weren't really friends. We were all just acquaintances since we focused on our studies.

In fact, I don't even know why I'm being so bitter about the move. It's probably just because I had to wake up early this morning because I'm a last minute packer. I'm definitely not a morning person.

"Honey! The movers came early! Grab a box and let's get out of here!" I groaned at my mom loudly and grabbed the lightest box I could find.

Ironically, it has the word Clothes sprawled over the top in black marker, but I'm not getting changed now.

I carried it downstairs easily and took it outside to the truck. I left it alongside the boxes the movers had already placed and sighed.

"Well there's my hard work done for the day." I muttered to myself, dusting my hands on my PJ bottoms.

"Awful lot of hard work there honey, give yourself a pat on the back." A mover told me, bitter sarcasm lacing his words and laughing to another guy next to him. They were both holding our TV cabinet, looking at me and smirking.

I looked up at them, not knowing they were there and felt my heart go a little eratic. Jeez, I hate being scared half to death by creepy mover men.

Feeling too shy to answer I shuffled past them as they continued laughing and talking amongst themselves.

"Sweetie I told you to change, go change." My mom frowned at me, pointing towards the direction of the stairs. She's reading a magazine sitting at the kitchen counter, drinking coffee out of a plastic cup. This is what our house has become now all of our cutlery and kitchen-wear is at Bassams house.

"My clothes are already in the truck, I'll be fine meeting his son like this anyway. It's not like I need to impress someone I'm practically going to be related too." I argued softly, as she continued to frown until a defeated looked came upon her face.

"I guess your right." She took a sip of coffee and day dreamed for a few minutes before looking at me- still standing watching her- and sighed "go help the movers Justice, the more you help them, the faster you can get settled into your new room."

You can't argue with that, so I trudged back upstairs, got another box, and continued to help the movers.

"My arms...my poor little arms."

"Shut up. Is your seatbelt on?"

"Of course it is." I scoffed, looking away from my arms that lifted one too many boxes and slowly pulling my seatbelt across my body. I glanced at my mom before clicking it in place.

"We should be there in ten minutes honey so...maybe you could do your hair a little better?" I glanced at my moms concentrated face firmly planted on the road.

"What's so important about looking good? I'm seeing your boyfriend and his son. That's it's, right?" She wouldn't look at me, she just kept looking at the road with a straight face "right?" I repeated more firmly.

"...Right." She hesitantly replied, her lips turning up at the corners ever so slightly. I watched her face turn back to the serious expression and turned back to the front of the car slowly.

That can't be good.

I pulled down the mirror and looked at my pony tail. It's not too messy. I have no make-up on either, my face is just clear with a few spots here and there.

The joys of being a teenager.

"Here we are." I didn't noticed the car had pulled over until my mom spoke. The moving van would be coming later tonight, or early tomorrow morning, a lot of stuff is already here and unpacked anyway.

I looked at the house, it's on a long street and the houses are in two's, each having a small front garden. The street is filled with cars, lining up and down so I'm surprised that we even found a place to park.

We both got out and my mom slammed the door shut. Her heels clicked as we walked to Bassams house, so you can barely hear my footsteps.

We got up to the house and I found myself smiling. It's actually pretty nice from the outside, and the garden looks good enough to sunbathe in.

"Now sweetie," my mom cooed, opening the door to the- well our, house "don't freak out."

"Wha-?" I couldn't finish my sentence as I was cut off with a loud in sync shout of too many people to count.

"Surprise!" I looked up at the people stunned, and I could feel my open mouth. I looked around the room silently as my mom said her hello's and such.

People still looked at me as I caught the 'Welcome Home' banner. How is this any occasion to throw a party? I forced my mouth shut as I looked back at my mom with a raised eyebrow.

She isn't alone now though, she has Bassams arm wrapped around her waist.

"I tried to warn you sweetie, go enjoy the party." I glared at her before looking down at my Minnie Mouse bottoms and band tee.

Fuck.
