"Seriously J, what are you doing?"
"Justice?" He repeated. I looked up at Jack standing at my bedroom door and looking at me worriedly.
"Nervously pacing." I answered, continuing to walk back and fore my bedroom, avoiding the boxes. I've not even asked my mom about them coming over yet- oh god, what if I have to sneak them in?! I'm going to have too.
"I see that...but, why?" Jack asked, coming into my room and sitting on the bed. He always sits on the same side too, away from the headboard.
"Don't tell Mom, or Bassam, but I uh, kind of invited some people over today-" he cut me off almost instantly, grinning ear to ear.
"You're having a house party!" It was a whisper-yell.
"No!" I defended quickly. "I invited two people over," I corrected, and he gave me a skeptical look so I continued "Zack and Oliver, okay?"
His face immediately scrunched up in distaste. "Really?"
"They're going to help me unpack." I reasoned, and I could tell he didn't believe me. "Look, I'll explain everything that happens tonight okay? They'll be here soon and I need to sneak them in." He sighed loudly, standing up and dusting his jeans with his hands.
"Right, I'd help you sis, but I just don't want them to see me, so I'm gunna go, okay? I'll see you tonight."
Just as he got to my bedroom door, we both heard a knock on the front door. Jack froze in his place, and at that exact moment, my phone buzzed from my bed.
"I told them not to knock, oh my god, what am I-"
"I'll help you, okay," Jack said to me quickly, looking me in the eye "just get them in and I'll distract the parents. Please don't let them see me." He ran out of the room and down stairs. I immediately heard him talking and laughing, presumable distracting someone.
I jumped into action and ran out too, I ran down the stairs and then to the front door. I could hear my Mom talking to Jack, sounding confused.
"I've got it." I shouted into the living room. I answered the door and glared at Oli and Zack. As Oli opened his mouth I put my finger over my lips, signalling them to be quiet. They both just stood there and Oli awkwardly closed him mouth again.
"Who is it, sweetie?" My Mom called to me. I sent the two a pointed look before calling back to her.
"I think some kids just playing a joke, don't worry about it Mom."
I motioned for them to come in, and Oli bounded forward while Zack slowly followed. I softly closed the door behind them both and lead them up the stairs. I closed Jack bedroom door as I passed it, Oli ignored it but Zack gave me a curious look. I pretended like I didn't see it.
As soon as I let them both in my room I closed the door behind me. I knew we could talk in here without really being heard downstairs- unless we shout, but that shouldn't happen.
Reverting back to my shy nature, I looked up at both of them, smiling a tiny bit. I sent Zack a more grateful smile though.
"Wait so you actually haven't unpacked?" Oli asked, looking around at all the boxes. He looks genuinely confused- but why else would I invite him here.
"Why else would she invite us here?" Zack said back. I can tell these two don't get along that well, and that doesn't exactly sit nicely with me.
"I didn't even know you were invited Merrick." Oli shot back, and then he turned back to me with a killer grin "so what do you need me to do?" I started him off by showing him my wardrobe- that needs to be put together, and he surprisingly he started doing it straight way.
Zack looked at me expectingly, so I wordlessly led him towards my bed.
"Help me move it over there?" I pointed to underneath the window and he effortlessly picked up the side with the headboard. I saw muscles in his arms contracting as he lifted it and internally swooned a little.
"So you're sneaking us into your house? That's different. Feeling like a bad girl today Jess?" He winked at me. Is he flirting with me? Well damn. I felt myself blushing as I lifted the other half of my bed and tried to make it look like I'm not completely weak. We carried over to where I said and put it down.
"Help me Zack?" Oli asked. I don't turn around but Zack sent me a smile and then walked over. I started to unpack some of my boxes and making my bed.
About an hour and a half into doing everything, my room almost looked a little presentable. There are just a few more clothes to hang up, and boxes to unpack. The guys are doing my clothes though.
"Hey Justice," I heard Oli call, and I turned around to see him holding up a red body-con dress that I have. I blushed as I saw it "will you try this on for us?"
"How 'bout you try it on?" Zack shot back, smirking. My mouth dropped open a bit but I couldn't help but nod. Yes, this should happen.
"Not fucking happening mate-" as he scrambled to put the dress back there was a knock on my bedroom door. The guys both looked at me as it started to open.
"Wait I'm not decent." I shouted just before the door could open. The door closed again abruptly and I almost laughed. It's definitely either Bassam or Jack.
"Tell me when you are, I just need a quick word." I heard Bassams voice echo through. I quickly ushered Oli and Zack into my closet and closed the door of it. In a way, I'm lucky they both built it in time.
"Come in." I said to Bassam, standing away from the closet. The door opened again and I saw his face peek around before the door fully opened.
"Your mother sent me to check on you, she thinks she's hearing voices." It was either the fact that I went pale or that he already has suspicions but his face dropped when he had said the statement. "Who's in here?" He sighed.
"They're just helping me unpack okay? Friends. Look at my room now. Please don't tell my Mom she's so overprotective." He looked around and used his hand to rub the back of his neck.
"Boys?" He asked. I nodded and sent him my best innocent look. "When your room is done they have to go, or go out with them, and I won't tell your mother. Deal?"
"Thanks Bassam." I said quietly, and he nodded, leaving my room and shutting the door. I let out a breath and then let the guys out if the wardrobe.
"So who was that?" Oli immediately asked. Zack glared at him.
"You can't just ask that."
I really hope this room gets finished soon.
