While Abuela Alma calls a meeting with her Madrigal family, Mirabel was left all by herself in the upstairs halls.
She was so confused to what happened on her night. Why has Mirabel did not get a gift like the rest of her family? What makes her magical door disappear instead of getting the gift? She cannot be more sadder than how Abuela Alma disregarded her. Mirabel feels that she have not develop enough love for her family. Mirabel begins to weeps.
Bruno got out of Abuela Alma's doorway. He can't get over how his sobrina do not have a gift so sudden. Bruno became alerted by hearing a little girl crying. Before he goes to his room, Bruno watches out for the upset child. He hears the small running pitter-patters. Bruno found the sad little girl. It was Mirabel. She was going to the nursery room. He looked more melancholy from his sobrina than the dimming candle. Mirabel cupped the bottom part of her face. She leaves her tears dripping a way to the nursery room. Mirabel got depressed. She hid herself in a room behind the door. Mirabel cries inside the nursery room. She sobbed harder. Bruno can't bear seeing such a poor girl sobbing. He heads to the different mission. Bruno marches away from his vision room. "Follow the butterfly." He whispered softly. Bruno made up his mind. He goes to meeting his sobrina in her nursery room.

In the nursery room, Mirabel curls herself on her bed. She really can't stop crying. Her hands grips on a soft pillow.
The teal bluish door opens itself quietly. It was Bruno. He peeks himself thru her doorway. Bruno was unease about making a first impression. He could be awkward in front of his sobrina. Then again, Bruno loved his family. He would try to love his sobrina. Bruno was new to acquainting the kid. He became more shy than before. Bruno blamed the gift he got since his childhood. The worst thirty-five years of his life. He swallows himself. Bruno takes deep breaths. He has no imagining himself with his sobrina. Bruno closed his eyes. "I can do this, I can do this, I can do this." He whispers nervously at himself. Bruno knocks on the door trimming mildly six times. That does not affect Mirabel by his soft noises. He walks unhurriedly to the heartbreaking girl. Bruno brings something out of his long ruana. He throws his large amount of salt behind his left shoulder. Bruno don't care about the mess he made in her room. He was close to her bed. Bruno sighs pathetically. She did not noticed his shadow over her. He sat on it beside his sobrina.
Bruno stared at poor Mirabel. She breathes in and out. Her sobs messes up with her thinking. He strokes her back with his left hand gently. Bruno can sense her upsetting. He got a lot more sad than his sobrina. Bruno repeated stroking the little girl's back a few times. "I don't know how you didn't get a gift on this night." He said melancholy. Mirabel stopped weeping. She got up from her soft pillow. Mirabel was a bit mystified. She looks up at him. "What?" Mirabel said. Bruno glances down at her. He detects a glint in his sobrina's eyes. Bruno has no wonder how an innocent little girl would not get a gift. She was a small understanding angel with glasses. He became honest a bit. "You're really emotional." Bruno said. He widened his eyes. Mirabel did the same reaction from her tio. Bruno made his statement about his sobrina unexpectedly. They just stared at each other awkwardly. She ultimately settles down her crying. Mirabel understood him. They both meet at each other just timidly.
He was not definite what to do next. She gasped herself in realization. Her tears keeps trickling on. Mirabel's cheeks has gotten so wet. Bruno sees her gradual waterworks. He grabbed his end of long green ruana. Bruno dry her face smoothly. Mirabel looked at his eyes. She has witnessed him a kind and caring soul. He sighed. Bruno efforts again to talk with empathy. "I'm sorry about your night, Mirabel. Please don't take it so hard. You're not hurting your Madrigal family." She blinks thrice at him. Mirabel was perplexed and curious at the same time. "Are you part of the Family Madrigal?" She asked. He smiled nervously. "Yeah. Your mama Julieta. She's my hermana." Bruno said. Mirabel figures out of herself more awkwardly. She's still experiencing the meeting of a new family member. Mirabel was trying her best to talk with him. "Then you're my tio..." she said shyly. He gestured himself. "I am Bruno." He added, becoming his eccentric self. "You're so lucky that you didn't get my gift. Thank goodness!" Mirabel raised her eyebrow at him. "What is your gift really, tio Bruno?" She asked. He takes deep breaths. Bruno got nervous again. What was he thinking? Mention his gift in front of his sobrina? Poor Bruno can't get out of this conversation. He was perturbed. Then Bruno had to be frank. "I can see the future." He answered quickly. Bruno braces himself. He crossed his fingers. Mirabel gasps astonishingly. Her eyes builds up twice as big as a piece of marble. She looks beamed. "You can really tell the future by seeing what's ahead of time?!" Mirabel asked happily. Bruno does not expect her reaction to his answer. He has no idea how to take care of the overexcited child. "Ehhh, yes..." Bruno answered modestly.
