This one might be a little too long...?

You looked in the mirror in your wedding dress.
"Isn't it fantastic? Oh, I never knew that this day would come so quick," your mother beamed as she twirled you around. The dress was too ornate and you didn't like how it was tight at the bust.
"__________?" Your mother looked you in the eyes and a frown appeared on her face.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing," You lied. You held her face and kissed her cheek.
"Everything will be great. I'm just a little nervous, that's all." You walked towards the couch and sat down.
"Okay. I'll let you be. _________, you look beautiful today," she said as she readied to leave the room.
"Thank you mother," you smiled as she closed the door.
As soon as she left, you closed your eyes and remembered the first time you met him.

It was at a cafe. He was a bartista and you were a college freshman.
"What may I get you today?" He had asked.
The moment your eyes met, time stopped. He stared at you thinking how someone could be so adoring and you gazed at him thinking how someone could be so genuine.
Nothing mattered anymore. This man was enough.
"Are you going to order?" Someone behind you asked. The pain of reality stabbed you again.
"Yes... May I uh... Have a vanilla latte?"
"You may, my lady," he rang up the latte and smiled at you. It was worth dying for.
"It's on me," he then said as you tried to pay.
"Thanks..." You left to sit at a table next to the window where the view of the barista was clearly visible. He moved like a ballerina and had hair like honey. He caught you staring and you looked out the window, embarrassed that he caught you. For a while, the giant oak tree outside the window kept you occupied.
You naturally turned your head in the direction of the smell. The boy was there with your cup of latte.
"I made it myself," he said as he sat the cup down.
You took a sip and was taken back at how nice it tasted.
"It's lovely," you smiled.
"Not as much as you are, my lady."
You chuckled and introduced yourself.
"I'm ___________." You stuck out your hand.
"I'm Luhan." And instead of shaking your hand, he planted a gentle kiss on it.

You stood outside the door. As it slowly opened, the organs started playing. The sound was suffocating. Your father locked your arm and veiled your face.
"You'll do fine, _________."
You took a shaky breath and entered. Each stride felt closer to death. You looked at the man at the alter. He had a big smile on his face. And you didn't. As you walked, you remembered that one night with him.

It was April 20th. Luhan was dragging you across a bridge to look at a water show. It was your senior year in college. You jumped with excitement as water was sprayed into the lake every which way. First red waves. Then pink spirals spewed from a fountain. Colorful streams swayed and danced in the lake. You've never seen anything like it. You turned to look at Luhan, anticipating an equally amazed expression. He was only looking at you.
"Beautiful...." Luhan whispered.
"It is isn't it?" You replied and leaned on the bridge.
Luhan hugged you from behind and said, "Not the water show. You. You are beautiful."
You blushed a slight pink but it was nice to feel his warmth.
"Sometimes I think I don't deserve you," you told him as you turned your face to look at his eyes. The same ones you fell for 4 years ago.
"I should be saying that," Luhan tightened his hold and leaned in. You closed your eyes as your lips met. He had a sweet taste like the spring air.
The water show had ended as amazingly as it started. People scattered away but Luhan and you stayed at the bridge. The two of you just stood in silence and you took Luhan's hand. He chuckled as you leaned on him. And for you, the world was perfect where it was now. The Luhan who tasted like spring air and the sound of running water behind you and the breeze that seemed to whisper the unsaid words between you two.
As the night grew, the two of you finally decided to leave. Halfway to Luhan's house, he offered you a piggy back ride. You jumped on his back and he laughed when he stumbled a little.
"The silence is so loud," you told him.
"It is. But it's okay because you make everything better."
You looked into the sky and buried your face into his neck.
"Luhan, will you marry me?" You whispered.
He came to a sudden stop.
"What?! _________, why would you say that? Which GIRL asks the BOY to marry her? I mean, I know you were different from the other girls but this is a slap in the face."
"Will you?" You asked again.
"__________, I actually had this amazing proposal planned out. What am I going to do about you?" He yelled the last part into the night. No one was around and you guys were in his neighborhood. Still on his back, he twirled you around and around. The two of you laughed genuinely and you felt happy. Luhan always made you feel happy. You playfully hit his shoulder as you continued laughing.
He eventually let you off his back.
"I'm so dizzy!" He said as he bent his knees and rested his hands on them.
"I am too!!" You wobbled as you tried to regain your balance.
Suddenly it started raining.
"Ahhh!" You said. Luhan took off his jacket and held it above your heads. You snuggled as close to him as possible as the two of you ran to his house.
Luhan gazed at you before opening the door. He let the jacket drop to the wet concrete and led you inside. The lights were off and your clothes were soaking wet.
Without a warning, he picked you up and carried you to his bed. The water in his hair dripped on your face as he stared down at you. Your breath seemed to get louder without you realizing it. You sat up and grabbed his face and at the same time, he held your waist. You kissed him passionately and he slid his tongue inside your mouth. Luhan pushed you down on the bed and took off his shirt. He threw it on the floor and placed his hands on the either side of your head. He bend down to kiss you again and your heart raced fast as you ran your hands through his hair, kissing him back.
Luhan pulled away and pierced your soul with his eyes. He leaned down and whispered in your ear, "Let's get married."
The smile on your face couldn't have been bigger. The two of you laughed and Luhan pulled the blankets over your heads.

The preacher was saying the wedding vows.
After the groom said "I do", he unveiled you. You looked at his face and it felt like a thousand arrows flying into your heart. He reached for your hand to put on the ring. You hesitated a little before giving him your finger. It was a glistening ring with a row of diamonds. As it slid on your ring finger, you wanted to take it off. But you let it rest on there and turned back toward the alter. The preacher said more blessings but you drowned him out as you thought of the most painful memory that you just could not forget.

It was three months after the engagement. Your parents were getting ready for the wedding when Luhan suddenly called you.
"I need to talk to you," he'd said urgently.
You met him in a nearby park and his eyes were red. He'd been crying. You braced yourself for the worst but that wasn't even close to what to you needed when he told you the news.
"__________, we can't have the wedding. I've been drafted. If I don't go, you could you in danger. If not you, then my family also would. I'm scheduled to leave this afternoon. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I really am. I feel so selfish for leaving you alone here. Every time I tried to bring it up to you, I would see your happy self and I didn't want to take that away.
I hate to be the one to make his woman wait, but... Will you wait for me? I only ask for 2 years. If I don't come back by then, forget me..."
The tears flowed down before you felt them. Your lips trembled and you were lost for words. He pulled you into a hug and repeatedly said "I'm sorry. I really am.... I'm so sorry, ________....."
"No matter where I go, I'll always have you in my mind. When I'm sad because I'm missing you, I'll remember your beautiful smile that always cheered me up. When I'm angry because I can't see you, I'll remember your sweet voice that forever encouraged me onward. When I'm lonely because you're not with me, I'll remember the night we spent together and how truly happy it felt. When I'm not myself anymore, I'll remember your angelic face that appeared before me that day so many years ago," Luhan said the words with difficulty and you cried harder. You repeatedly hit his back and drenched his shirt with your tears.
"I don't know who to thank for bringing you into my life. But.... Know this. I love you. Very much... And this fact will never change."
In the end, you did wait for Luhan. You waited and waited and waited. It was long past the 2 years but you continued to wait. You had faith that he would come back even though you've lost communication with him. You waited until the day your father fell ill. And as he sat by the hospital bed, he held your hand and told you that all he wanted to see before he died was for you to get married.
You've made friends with another man named Sehun through the years Luhan left. And he has proposed to you. Although you've declined, he said would wait for you.
That afternoon, you called him. Each dial made you want to die.
"Sehun? Let's have the wedding."

As the preacher made his last blessings, you turned to face Sehun. You saw your father smiling proudly in the corner of your eye.
"If there are no objections to this marriage, you may kiss the bride."
Sehun and you waited for someone to speak up but no one did. He inched toward your face.
Just as his lips were about to touch yours, the door opened and at first you see nothing but the bright summer sun.
Then you saw him. He was panting from the running. Luhan walked down the isle as people stared at him. You held your breath and couldn't believe your eyes.
"I object," He said firmly.
