Baekhyun

The fever has gotten worse. Even though all you had in your hand was a box of pills from the convenience store, it felt like a ton.

Your parents left for family business and they left you alone thinking you'd take care of yourself. That's funny.

Three days later, you broke down with a fever and was really ill. After being in bed all day, you decided it was best to get some medicine. It was easier than going to the doctor.

As you walked out the store, you stumbled for you had a bad headache. You almost fell a couple of times. Then your stomach started to hurt and you tripped. Barely managing to get up, you wobbled down the street.

"This is the worst day ever," you complained.

You cursed as it started to rain. The wetness didn't help. You collapsed and knew that you're going to die.

"I didn't even tell him I love him..." You cried as you closed your eyes.

You opened your eyes and yawned. The blazing sun caused you to squint your eyes as you sat up and stretched.

"This is soft," you said confusingly as you noticed that you were on a bed. You jolted as you realized that this wasn't your home. You zapped your head this way and that to see your surroundings. The memory slowly returned. Your parents leaving... The fever... Convenience store... Rain... Rain! Your hands instantly flew to your chest as you realized you were in unfamiliar pajamas instead of your wet clothes.

When laughter exploded into the air, you gasped and turned to see Baekhyun (your crush for five years). He was laughing like a walrus, clapping his hands and tears were rolling down his face. You must have missed him when you looked around the room.

Why were you at Baekhyun's place...? The confused look on your face made him laugh more. You waited for him to calm down and crossed your hands.

"Baekhyun! Wh-"

"You're at my house! Don't worry, you look way better than you did 48 hours ago. You slept for two days straight!!! I thought you died," he snorted.

"You wish..." You said to yourself.

Baekhyun suddenly slid on the bed and you inched away.

"Wh- wh- what are you doing?" You stuttered as Baekhyun approached.

"No- no- nothing," Baekhyun mocked. "Stay still!" He said as he touched your forehead.

"You better be glad my mom is a doctor. And that I found you looking like a dead duck," he added.

"Wow you really want me dead huh?" You mumbled.

"Hmm?"

"Nothing."

"My mother changed your clothes,"

"Oh."

"I just watched."

"Ahh!"

"Just kidding!" Baekhyun cried as he broke out into a fit if laughter agin. You could tell your face was hot and red but you tried to look normal.

"______?" Baekhyun said with a more serious tone.

"Huh?"

"You know? Since I saved your life, you should save mine..."

"How w-"

"_______! Just be quiet and listen! To be honest... I liked you since middle school. I was too shy to say anything back then but it's different now. We're almost done with high school so it's now or never. I don't know how you feel about me but I really love you. I really do. I'm asking you to be my girlfriend. You can deny it. But I confessed so I feel good now. Will you save this lonely boy's life by going out with him?" he let out a big breath. Your smile widened and you couldn't believe what was going on.

Baekhyun noticed you weren't answering so he looked at you.

"But we can always be fr-"

Before he could finish, you jumped on him and wrapped your arms around his neck.

"Yes. Yes. Yes!" You whispered in his ear.

Baekhyun laughed and hugged you back after realizing your answer. You closed your eyes and hugged him tighter. It seemed like the longest hug ever but he broke off.

"I watched you sleep for two days straight so I need sleep too. You see these dark circles? You see?" He pointed to the dark circles under his eyes that you COULD see.

"Sorry," you said with a smile.

He plopped down and bounced his arms on the bed. You wanted to leave as to not disturb him, but he grabbed your wrist. He pulled you towards his chest and held you there. You were surprised and your eyes widened.

"I love you. I really do," Baekhyun said. Seconds later, you heard him snore. You smiled to yourself and whispered "I love you too."

You fell asleep hugging Baekhyun and listening to his steady heartbeat.
