I Still Love You (Tim x Brandon)

Birds chirped and the sunrays shone through Tim's bedroom window. He open his eyes and got greeted with an empty space beside him.

He frowns and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked beside him again and sighs. Oh how he wished to God that he was still here. Oh how he wished that one day he'll wake up and see him lying next to him once again.

Day is instantly ruined. He missed him.

Tim stood up from his bed and went on with his morning routine. After he finishes, he went downstairs to cook breakfast for himself. Well, he used to cook NOT just only for himself.

He then realized as he open his fridge that he is running low on food, meaning that he needs to go grocery shopping later today. He groaned in frustration. He is not on the mood to go out today, but he knows he has to.

Tim sat down, alone in his kitchen island. He stared at none as he slowly chewed on his pancakes. He was used to having company as he eat. He felt so lonely and uncomfortable by the silence.

He pulled out his phone and started scrolling through YT, trying to find something to entertain him as he eats. He eventually came across this song What Am I by a band called Why Don't We. He pressed on the lyric video and put his phone down as he listened to the song. (a/n: yo i am inlove with this song, it is hands-down one of my fave songs of them)

I met her on a Monday evening,
She was standing outside of a Park 'n Ride.
And I said, "Hey ma, where you've been?"
"Been looking for a woman like you for all my life."
And she said, "Hola, talk to me before I have to leave."
And one day, we could be maybe more than two lost souls just passing by.

Then their harmonies came in, making Tim close his eyes in pleasure. He loved this band, not only because they're so good-looking, but they all had great voices and their harmonies blend so perfectly.

Open the door to my apartment, we get in.
Kissing on my neck and throw my jacket to the side.

And if you put your head on my chest, hear the same in mine, yeah.
And we'll be, making love until the sun comes up.
And one day, maybe I, I could put a ring on your finger before you change your mind, yeah.

With the verse's last sentence, he suddenly had a flashback when his love told him the exact same thing. "This promise ring on your finger will soon be replaced with an engagement ring. Just you wait my love, I will bring you to the altar."

He promised him. He said he will bring him to the altar. He said they will be together forever. What happened? Why did he suddenly let go? Why didn't he keep his promise?

He still kept the promise ring on. That is the only thing that would remind him of his love. He wanted to move on so badly, but he knew he couldn't forget the guy at the moment. They have been together for 3 years, he can't forget him right off the bat.

It has been 2 hours and he decided to go out and start grocery shopping. He doesn't want to go, but then he'll have to the next day. Sooner the better, right?

Well, going sooner is probably a really bad choice. Why?

As Tim is looking through the can of beans, he accidentally bumped into a person as he turned around. "Oh god, I'm so sorry." He apologized, not looking at the person's face. He knelt down to grab the can that fell off and he froze when the stranger did too.
