—Broken Family Part Two—

7 years has passed after Rage and Tim's family officially broke up. The two obviously haven't been the same ever since.

The brothers would always cry themselves to sleep every night in the past years. They both missed each other a lot. Sure, they sometimes fight just like any other siblings out there, but their bond is still strong that they couldn't handle being apart from each other.

15-year old Rage is slowly healing from the tragic day. He thought lesser about his dad and brother unlike before where his poor little mind would always get torn apart from the dark memory. But whenever they do pass by Rage's mind, it still hurts him.

He remember a few weeks after his dad left, he saw his mom throwing away all the remaining stuff that would ever remind them of his father. Even his little brother's room is emptied.

He didn't even try to stop her. He knows his mom is deeply hurting. This is her way of moving on from her ex-husband, even though he didn't like it.

He remember that a little photograph fell from the old notebooks she is about to throw away. She is so focused on her task that she didn't notice the picture that fell. He quickly took it before his mom would notice.

He went back upstairs to his room and looked at the photo. It was a picture of him and his brother playing together in the snow. The memory flashed back in his mind and he fought the urge to cry. He decided to hide it from his mom. He kept in his green jacket that he was wearing at the moment.

3 months ago, he heard his mom yell from downstairs, "Honey? Can you pack all your old clothes in a box, please?"

He is confused, "Why?"

"We're giving it to your little cousins. You don't even use your old clothes anymore so why not give it to them?" "Okay, mom!"

As he was packing his old and small cloths in the box his mom gave him, the same picture of him and his brother fell off from the pocket of the same green jacket. His eyes widened slightly as he completely forgot about the picture. He set it down on his desk and continued packing his clothes.

After he gave the box to his mom, he came back upstairs and looked at the picture once again. He had no idea where to keep it, and he doesn't want to lose it either.

He took the tape and scissors from his desk and decided to tape it on his closet. His mom wouldn't see, she never go through his stuff. He stares at the taped picture on his closet, smiling before closing the closet door.

Last week, his best friends, Aris and Brandon came over to his house to hang out. They're just doing bro stuff in his room when suddenly Brandon asks a question, "Oh, what is this?" while pointing at the picture.

He looked over at him and answered, "Oh that's just my picture with my little brother."

"Brother? You never told us you a have a brother?" Aris asked.

He mentally face-palmed himself. That's right, he never told them anything about him having a sibling. All they know is that his mom and dad broke up and that's it.

"Oh, right. Yeah, my dad took my brother with him when he left." He says like it's nothing. The memory hurts, he just doesn't wanna show it to his friends.
