AU Tim x Brandon

-Brandon and Tim are best friends who have a YouTube channel together. Their channel is named, "Nerdy Idiots". When they both first started their YT career, they are loved equally by their fans. But that is until 2 years passed, a lot more people - kids, teens, even some adults - start to recognize their content. The two boys are undeniably happy, they can never deny that. But as their viewer count increases, the more favoritism occurs - almost everyone leaning towards Brandon. Tim didn't mind at first because he thought it was normal, but as time passes by, the more support and recognition Brandon gets, is the lesser attention he receives.

It's another one of these days in Tim and Brandon's lives. Recording videos all day, taking some rest, editing, and uploading them the next day. They have been doing this together for almost 4 years. And those years were the happiest times of both their lives.

Or at least, it used to be.

Over these past few months, the support they are receiving is not being fair. Brandon usually gets most of their viewer's love, while Tim is left there in the dark with some, sometimes even none.

They didn't acknowledge it sooner because they both thought that they are still receiving equal halves of attention from the fans. But Tim soon come to realize, that is not what is happening.

Every scroll he does as he read the fans' comments on their latest uploaded videos, he was greeted with a bunch of praises, sweet messages, love and support from them. People would normally feel so warmed up inside and just feel so joyful as they read these kinds of stuff, he is the opposite. Sure, these messages are so nice and he really appreciates it, though it isn't towards him. All of it, was for his partner.

Seeing a "I love Tim", "Tim is so funny", "Tim is the nicest person alive", or just any comment that are actually for him is really rare at this point. Everything is mostly just what has been mentioned, except change Tim's name to Brandon.

He is kind of sick and tired of it.

But he knows he can't do anything.

He can't force people to like him.

If people have their favorites, they stick with them.

Maybe he is just unlucky, he is no one's favorite.

The duo is currently recording a video right now. Brandon is doing most of the talking, the loud screams, the loud noises, it is all him. The only thing can be heard coming out of Tim's mouth is laughter - specifically fake.

That is Tim throughout the entire recording. Fake smiles, fake laughs, fake reactions, fake everything, fake him. His mood is instantly ruined as the thought of him always being left with none slip through his mind in the middle of the recording.

Brandon has noticed the sudden change in his friend's behavior, but decided not to question him and carry on with what they're doing. After they finished the video, they started cleaning the mess they had made in their studio. The only thing can be heard other than silence is the sound of bags of chips getting picked up, the plastic bag, the vacuum running, and all the crumbs getting sucked by it. No word was spoken, nor no sound from the two was let out.
