Harley was back inside the mansion enjoying the party with Yoongi. Somehow, he made her feel safe, holding her hand, staying beside her protectively. "I like this." She turned around and placed her hand on his chest.
Yoongi smiled and took her hand, kissing her knuckles. "I like it too." He tucked a strand on hair behind her ear. "You're beautiful."
Her cheeks turned red. It could have been the alcohol, it could have been the compliment, but most likely it was his presence. He might sometimes be a raging bull on crack, yet, in moments like these, he was soft. Nurturing. She liked the contrast. It was clear that he was tormented by some past ghosts. She wanted to say something, but she felt her phone vibrate in her back pocket. She took it out and she paled at the text she received. Her friend Jihee sent her a text, thanking her for everything Harley did for her. For every time she defended her, protected her even against herself. Jihee had mentioned how hard it still was for her to move forward. How tired she had become fighting against her own mind.
"What's wrong?" Yoongi asked. Her body suddenly stiffened and became pale. "What's going on?" He asked again as she didn't answer.
Harley rushed outside, calling Jihee's parents. "Hello?" Jihee's mother answered.
"Where is Jihee?" Harley asked abruptly, no greetings necessary. She was too impatient to play greetings.
"In her room. She said she wanted to get some rest." The woman explained.
"Check up on her." She looked around for Yoongi, and thankfully he was behind her. "Give me your keys."
"You drank. I won't let you drive." Yoongi replied back. He didn't understand why she was panicking. A couple of minutes ago, she was perfectly fine. He could swore they had a moment.
"She yelled saying to leave her alone. Maybe she just wants some rest. Let it go. She'll be fine." The woman spoke before ending the call.
"I swear to God some adults are so oblivious." Panic was starting to grow inside her soul. The text felt like a goodbye. "Ughh." She yelled almost ripping her hair out. "I need an Uber. I need to go." She frantically looked around, searched on her phone. Her hands were shacking so bad, she could barely hold her phone.
Yoongi took her hands into his. "Talk to me." He asked softly.
"Jihee." Her eyes started watering. "I need to see her."
"I'll take you. I didn't drink anything, and I'm not leaving you alone in this state."
Harley agreed. She didn't have an option, she couldn't dare think of anything else. She gave Yoongi Jihee's address. It took them more than an hour drive to get there. All the way, Harley was shifting in her seat, chewed her nails, hit her head against the car window, until Yoongi held her hand.
His warm hand made her feel present. Panicking now without knowing anything for sure, was not alright. It took him holding her hand, such a small gesture, to calm her a bit. She didn't want to think what it meant. Her entire attention had to be on her friend. Yoongi didn't even got to park his car properly before Harley jumped out of the car and ran towards the door. She start punching the door until a woman answered.
Harley didn't even acknowledge the woman, she rushed to her friend's room. "Jihee, come on open up." She punched the door. "Jihee, you better not do what I think you are doing." She started hitting the door with her foot. "Jihee open the fucking door or I'll break it." No sounds came out. No movement, no words, nothing. It sounded like her friend wasn't even there. She turned her attention to Yoongi. "Please break the door."
