Jin was spending time with his boyfriend, watching some movie he had no idea what was about, when his sister called him for an emergency meeting in her room. He found her tapping her laptop keyboard with a ferocity unknown to him. Her whole body was shaking and he could hear her sobbing.

"What happened?" Jin asked. Harley at first said nothing. She just jumped form her seat and hugged her brother while she cried. Jin returned her hug and patted her back. "Whatever it is, we can fix it." He reassured her.

Harley shook her head. "I'm not sure this time will work though."

"What happened?" He went to the small fridge she had in her room and handed her a bottle of water.

Harley took a sip of water and calmed herself. She told him everything that happened a while ago. What Yoongi told him, what she saw. "I'm so fucking pissed."

"It makes sense. Tae heard Namjoon's father hit his own son."

"At least their feelings are true." Harley pointed out.

"Yeah." He took a seat on her bed and closed his eyes. He had to make a plan and fast. They couldn't confront them right away. They had no proof, no back up in case things would escalate. They were alone. "First, we need to know everything about their parents."

"I got it." She took some papers from her printer and handed it to him. She knew it would be the first thing Jin will ask for. She already knew her brother's thought process.

"Next step, find the dam contract."

"I have the blueprints of the entire faculty. The original ones. There are some secret passages that goes from the basement of the abandoned building to some room underground."

"Perfect. We start there. Grab a backpack. We need black clothes, masks, flashlights, snacks, water bottles, and how are you with swinging a baseball bat?"

Harley grinned. "It was the first thing I learned when I changed my name."

"Good." He smiled. "Shit is about to go down. Get everything and meet me at the gym door in thirty minutes."

"Will do." Harley agreed.

Harley was not a damsel in distress. She wasn't the type to wait for her prince Charming to save the day. She was all hands on deck type of person. If she had to face a bull, she'd learn how to ride one. If she wanted shit to get done, she would do it herself. That's what it meant to take life by it's horns. On every literal sense.

Namjoon stared at his childhood home with mixed feelings. He couldn't remember a happy memory even if he tried. He was sure there had to be at least one, but the worst ones always covered the good ones. When Yoongi sent him a text letting him know everything that had happened between Harley, Jimin and him, Namjoon too had to make a choice. This time though, he will chose his own future. He will choose Jin. He had disappointed him far too much. It was time he stopped playing and do something for himself, not his father.

At first, Namjoon really wanted to confront his father, yell in his face how mistaken he was. That he had fallen in love with his mortal enemy's son and he won't move a finger against his love. Yet, he knew exactly how that would end. He would need medical care after, that if he even survived. He could still feel the burn his father made with the cigarette on his shoulder, thankfully, it wasn't a big scar, but it hurt like hell. He would never forget the smell of burnt skin.

So he went back in his car and drove straight to the twins grandfather. At this point, he might be the only one that could stop any future bloodshed. Namjoon couldn't believe how modest the family lived. His own family home was double the size of the one in front of him. He ringed the doorbell and a middle aged woman opened the door.

"Hello." He took a bow. "My name is Kim Namjoon. I'm here to talk to Mr. Kim."

The woman smiled gently and hugged him. "Oh, you're Jinnie's boyfriend."

Namjoon stood still for a moment then returned the hug. He couldn't believe how fast they accepted his relationship with Jin. "Yes, I am."

"Come in." The woman dragged him inside. "My husband is in his office. Second floor, third door on the right." She instructed.

Namjoon nodded with his hand, thanked her for the instructions and went towards the man's office. Mr. Kin was at his desk, looking through some papers. Well, since Namjoon called him telling him that he had to talk to him, he knew exactly what it was about, so he quickly pulled out all the information his P.I. had on both Namjoon's family and Yoongi's.

"Come in." He invited the boy in.

Namjoon gulped and took a deep breath before going inside. "Hello Mr. Kim." He bowed. "Thank you for receiving me in a such a short notice."

"I must admit I never thought you'd call back. Please, take a seat."

Namjoon sat on the seat in front of the desk. "I had to make a choice. This time I'm making a choice to put myself first. I hope you know the risks involved with me being here." He tilted his head.

The man sighed and leaned back on his seat. "I know. Your father is a cruel man, Namjoon. So is Yoongi's father. That's why I had my own reservation against your relationships." He liked his hands together and stared at the boy. "Tell me what happened."

Namjoon explained everything from the beginning. How their fathers groomed them to get them in perfect shape for their plans. How Yoongi was told to hurt someone he cared about, how Yoongi punished himself for the harm he caused to others. He told them about the abuse they suffered, the pit of darkness their own parents pushed them into. How they had to make a connection with the twins only to end up falling for them, and most importantly, the twins knew the truth.

Mr. Kim listened patiently until he was finished. He couldn't believe the pain the boys were going through, but he was afraid that the twins would drown with them. "I think you are here because you are afraid Jin will push you away now that he knows. You are here because you want a way out."

Namjoon stood up and glared at the old man. "I'm here because I love Jin and I don't intend to lose him. Yeah, I was a jerk in the beginning, I let my own struggles come between us, not anymore. I will fight for him. I will do anything for him. And I know Yoongi would do anything for Harley." He ran his hand through his hair. "This is a mistake. I shouldn't have come here. I'll find a way out of this."

"Sit down." Mr. Kim raised his voice as Namjoon was about to exit the room. "Sit."

Namjoon sat back down and hid his face behind his hand. His eyes were teary. He did a lot of mistakes down the road, couldn't he find someone who would support him? Someone who had faith in him? To believe in his feelings? "I love him." He whispered. "I just need a chance to prove it."

Mr. Kim sighed. The boy was tortured, both by his past and his present. What made Namjoon worthy in his eyes, was the way he shouldered everything. The boy was smart, strong, calculating. A perfect fit for Jin. The man did believe that Namjoon loved his grandson, otherwise he wouldn't have come. "Ok. I will let you prove yourself. Don't disappoint me. Do you have a plan?"

Namjoon went on to say the couple of plans he made also their outcomes, to say the man was impressed, was an understatement. The man rubbed his temples and smiled.

"Those are a couple of possible scenarios, but since Harley and Jin know the truth, my best guess is that they are trying to gather evidence and confront your parents."

"I can't let them do that. It's dangerous." Namjoon jumped form his seat. If his father would put his hands on Jin, he would hurt his love. He couldn't allow it. "No."

Mr. Kim smirked. "You don't know them, do you?" Namjoon just stared at the man. "Do what Irene said. Pretend nothing had happened, at least until I talk to them and see what plan they have."

"I don't want them to get hurt."

The old man just smiled. "They won't. If anyone will get hurt, it won't be them." Yes, the twins together were like Jekyll and Hyde. One with the rational mind, the other one with the darkness.
