At five o'clock, Scarlett picked up her bag and blazer and left the office.

Chris and Sebastian remained arguing in the presidency's room.

After facing two absolutely packed buses, she arrived home exhausted.

The boys welcomed her with the same euphoria as always. They and Paul had just finished dinner and were waiting for her to “sing happy birthday”.

After the private party with the family, Scarlett went to her room and found a box on her bed. Inside it, a wonderful aqua green dress, a gift from her father-in-law.

After the bath she decided to debut the dress. It fit her like a glove, and Scarlett could hardly believe the image in the mirror; who was that sexy blonde?

The clothes, very tight, accentuated her body shapes, and the neckline added more sensuality to the model. What a transformation!

She went downstairs and soon saw Paul.

- He liked? she asked smiling, taking a turn to display the gift.

– Beautiful, my daughter, beautiful! My Romain was very lucky to find someone like you!

- Thank you, Paul. It's wonderful, but you shouldn't...

- Why not? It's about time you were treated to a little luxury!

- Isn't it too low-cut?

- Very. That's why it looks so good on you!

“Colin will be shocked.

“But it's what he needs, ma belle. Don't you keep saying you want to be treated like a normal woman and not like the Virgin Mary?

- It's true, but...

- Don't you want to see the man showing great passion?

- Yeah, but...

“Then believe me, cherie, no man will resist the charms of that dress, not even Colin. – The father-in-law looked excited.

- I hope it's right! But you seem a little unfair to him.

– Me, unfair? Colin is the one who is unfair to you, chérie.

Suddenly Scarlett felt like embracing the world. Maybe it was her age, the feeling that time went by too fast.

She loved Paul, she loved the twins, and she couldn't quite understand all the anxiety she felt.

“I hope you don't marry him just so you won't be alone, ma petite.

“I don't know what I want, I just feel that things need to change.

- Six years without the love of a man is a long time - Paul said fondly. “It's time to think about yourself a little more, Scarly. But never try to compare Colin and Romain, that wouldn't be fair to either of them.

Scarlett and Romain's wedding had been wonderful. Of course, she didn't expect the same thing to happen a second time, although deep down she knew she wasn't going to settle for less.

– No more worries for now! The father-in-law kissed her on the cheek. - Have a good time.
The kids are in bed waiting to say good night.

Moments later, sitting in the comfortable car, she looked at Colin, wondering if her boyfriend would be able to make her happy. He was an excellent person and he adored the twins. But there were details that Scarlett couldn't forget, even if she tried.

The son of an authoritative, aristocratic woman, Colin was always preoccupied with appearances. He owned a hotel in New Caledonia, a romantic island in the South Pacific, but he used to travel a lot, buying and selling antiques. Although the boys and Paul had no objection to living on the island, Scarlett wouldn't want to abandon everything she'd built in the last six years.
