Craziness. Maybe Scarlett was beside herself for not telling C.E. the whole truth about her life. He wasn't the kind of man she forgave twice.

After he had exposed her, he wanted to change the boss-secretary relationship.

He only returned the glasses to her on the condition that she forged the purchase of contact lenses.

- How about you spread the word that you've discovered a new optician... and an amazing hairdresser? Not to mention the fountain of youth! Without these accessories, you will attract a lot of prying eyes!

- It won't be difficult. Anyway, I'll still be older than you!

- By the way, how old are you?

- Thirty, I told you that once. That night at the restaurant was my birthday.

- I thought it was a joke. Glad I was able to celebrate the birth of a new Balzaciana. Did Colin give you a gift as exciting as mine?

- He had an engagement ring waiting for me...

-... And you waiting for the hotel room key!

- Very kind of you, Mr. Evans!

- My name is Christopher. Get to know me better and you will see that I can actually be very kind.

What other secrets could that woman keep? Scarlett was an efficient secretary, he already knew that, but what about her life outside the company?

- Did you know I feel manipulated? Do you intend to use this subject whenever we have personal problems?

- Do not even think about it! I forget Ms. Johansson and you forget everything you know about Chris Evans.

It seemed like a fair proposition, although it seemed like he was hiding something.

- It's your last chance to file complaints!

Scarlett hesitated, feeling unsure. Now the boss knew about Ms. Johansson and his carnal desires; they seemed like too many assets for one "enemy" alone.

The more she thought about it, the more she came to the conclusion that she should keep away from Chris' gaze. She needed to push the romanticism away from the physical sensations that were already taking over her body.

Upon arriving home, a pleasant surprise: Colin had finally come to his senses. He had left a note with Paul, saying that someday they could still be friends. Scarlett wasn't so sure about that...

The father-in-law was relieved at the news of the breakup, and the boys also accepted the new situation well.

- He won't send me more stamps? asked Michel, an avid collector.

- I do not know. But I can get some if you want, son...

- So he won't be our father?

Scarlett, who had prepared them for bed, sat on the edge of Christian's bed, feeling worried. Perhaps the twins had become more attached to Colin than she realized. The answer to that question came quickly, and she was relieved: -He didn't even know how to play football!

- I would rather have our real father...

Scarlett hugged them, pitying and with a certain sense of guilt for their orphanhood. With such a gesture she comforted herself more than the children.

- I know, but daddy can't be here with us...

- Can't he visit us from time to time?

- Of course not! He's in Heaven! - Christian said, assuming an air of intelligence.
