It was dark outside; too dark to see with the naked eye, and with the broken glass on the streets it made it that more dangerous. Too dark to be awake for a child. "He hasn't slept a minute since.. that night," A nurse said worriedly. (Y/n) watched from outside the door, hands tucked away in her jacket pockets. She leaned on the wall, but did not show herself inside the room.
A man arrived minutes later; he carried nothing but his condolences with him. "That's the kid; Sasuke," He said. (Y/n) nodded respectfully, her eyes lingering on the child. His eyes were beginning to flutter close, his head leaning to the left. She stayed silent, witnessing the moment in which the child fell limb on the bed in which he sat on; His raven hair fell to the side, his features more relaxed. (Y/n) pushed the door open then, the man following behind her. The child did not wake, instead frowned at the noise but remained undisturbed. "Besides Itachi.. Sasuke is all that's left of the Uchiha clan," The man whispered, averting his gaze from the child and directing it to her in a serious manner, "And your next assignment".

(Y/n) braced herself againsts the dusty blizzard; her feet grounded, her eyes protected by a pair of goggles, ears secured inside a hood. It was quite dangerous to be outside during nightfall, even more so when it was midnight. There were no stars, or a clear sky. Giant monsters, and the furious sand storms that settled around her were no place for anyone to step foot on; yet, here she was, and here this child was. (Y/n) fell over what she thought was a rock, but after looking over her shoulder she notice the bundle that laid on the sand under a poncho. There was no question about, there was something in there, someone; and judging by their size, it was a child. (Y/n) had no idea what a kid was doing in the middle of the desert, and so far away from the village, but she knew this, she had to do something. Embracing him on her arms, she pushed her way through the roaring winds and monsters; homebound.
Once home, she wasted no time on checking on the child for injuries. It was a redheaded boy, with dark eyes, and terribly dry lips. She was no medic, but anyone would know he was dehydrated. (Y/n) tried fed him some water, he unconsciously drank a little of it, but fell asleep almost immediately. (Y/n) took him to her bedroom, where she tucked him away in bed. Now she could only hope he would wake up soon.

She froze when she saw him, a shiver running down her spine. Was it really her choice to be here? Not really; But, there was nobody else who would have been brave enough, or capable, of taking care of this task in specific. Maybe it was because she felt bad for the kid, or perhaps because she knew something that not even the child knew about. "..Naruto," The word slipped her lips as she stared inside the window. The blonde child's mouth was wide open, siliva trickled down to his pillow. She chuckled to herself, taking a glance around his disaster of a room.
