War

I wake up cuddled into steve, exactly where I had fallen asleep. I can't help but smile, this man is everything to me and I don't know what I would do without him. I gently get up so I don't wake him and grab my phone from the stand. I look and I have 10 missed calls from Sam. I also have a text telling me to watch the news. I go to the TV and turn it on.
What I see is unbelievable. I quickly wake steve.
"Morning"
"Babe look"
He lifts his head and watches the TV with me, the building where the signing of the accords was blown up and king t Chaka is dead. They say it was the work of The winter solider.
"Steve?"
"I know, come on let's get dressed and go meet Sam"
We quickly got ready and ran to meet Sam, we knew we needed to find Bucky before the government did. Steve called Sharon an agent who has helped many times and was able to get the information we needed. While me and Sam looked through the file, he called Nat to make sure she was okay. She told him to stay out of this but she knew him well enough to know that wasn't going to happen.
We all suited up and headed out. Steve wanted to go alone to get Bucky he didn't want me getting hurt so I stayed with Sam.
Steve was gone for a while, we were listening in on comms. But of course the government knew where we were and they came bursting in. Me and Sam where captured and steve and Bucky were too after a big fight. We were taking to the CIA. Bucky was locked up and taken away. It wasn't until we were left in a room that steve could explain what happened.
"Bucky he was back Max, he is back. Kind of. He can't remember everything but he remembers some things. He remembers you"
"Me? How steve?"
"I don't know. He didn't blow up that building max. I know he didn't. He is being set up."
"Okay, so how do we help him?"
Just then the door opened and in walked my dad.
"You don't. Your coming home with me"
"No I'm not dad."
"Max for once just do as your told"
"No! You don't get to come here and try to be a dad to me right now. Not after everything you've done."
"Barnes is guilty. End of. But you 3 are free to go, you just need to sign"
"No. I'm sorry but no"
"Max go and get a coffee with Sam, let me talk to your dad please"
"Fine" I kiss him "I love you"
"I love you too"
Me and Sam walk away and leave steve and my dad too it.
I hated how stubborn my dad was being. He knew I wasn't going to change my mind. I stand up for what I believe in and I don't believe in this. After a while I see steve storm out of the office. I run after him "steve?"
"Not now max"
"I just want to...."
He shouts "NOT NOW!"
I look at him in shock, he has never shouted at me before. I feel tears stinging my eyes.
He looks over at me and I see the guilt in his eyes for what he has just done "max...."
Before he has a chance to say anything, alarms are going off and the power has been cut. We both run over to Sharon who tells us where Bucky was being kept.
As we get there. The solders who where guarding Bucky are down and he is out of the cage they put him in.
Steve goes to a man who is lay on the floor, he picks him up and rams him into the wall.
"Who are you? What do you want?"
"To see an empire fall"
Next minute we know, Bucky has come out of no where and starts to fight us, we realise this isn't Bucky this is the winter solider.
We try our best to hold him off, but it's not working. He throws Sam to the fall and he pushes steve through an elevator door.
"Steve!!!"
He turns to me "Bucky come on snap out of it"
He doesn't say anything just walks towards me, he grabs my arm and walks me out of the room.
"Where are you taking me?"
He doesn't answer he just keeps walking. As we are walking through, Sharon, Nat, my dad and prince tchalla all try to stop him, but he throws them around like there nothing. We get away and he continues to push me, he makes his way to the helicopter pad and forces me inside. As he gets in I see the roof door burst open and steve come running out.
"Max!!!!"
He runs to the copter and grabs hold, he pulls with all his strength. I see the winter solider move the plane towards steve, I scream out. Luckily steve is able to jump out of the way.
He makes his way to the helicopter, but the winter soldier burst through the screen and grabs his neck, the copter starts to fall and I see us heading into the water.
I start to swim out, as I reach the top of the water, steve is holding Bucky up. We swim to the bank.
"We need to get him somewhere safe"
"Yeah we do"
I can barely look at steve, all of this is just getting so crazy.
We find Sam and he helps us take Bucky to a warehouse. He is still unconscious. Sam is keeping an eye on him and steve is patching up my cuts and bruises.
"Max im so sorry. I shouldn't t have raised my voice like that"
"Just forget it steve"
He pulls my chin to look at him "hey, I won't forget it. I hurt you and I'm sorry"
I just nod, I feel the tears fall before I can stop them. He pulls me into a hug and holds me tight.
"Hey. It's okay"
"No it's not steve.....my dad hates me. Bucky isn't Bucky and I feel like I'm loosing everyone around me."
"Your not loosing everyone okay. I'm here and I'm not leaving you"
I look up into his beautiful blue eyes and he pulls me into a kiss. We break away and lean on one another.  Just then we hear Sam clear his throat behind us.
"He's awake"
