Karissa and Jamie immediately glared at Lucas after Cory spoke. "Nice going," Jamie sarcastically remarked as Karissa whacked his arm.

Everyone was in Cory's class and he had decided to split them into two different businesses with muffins as the product. Karissa and Jamie weren't even fully paying attention and had no involvement in the assignment until they heard their last names.

"So, these two competing companies will hire the rest of you guys as employees. Everyone else in school will be your customers. Let's see what happens."

"Here's what happens," Maya began, turning to Karissa, Jamie, and Lucas. "We crush you."

"We will be bajillionaires, and you will eat your words using plastic cutlery," Farkle added.

"Wanna hear something funny?" Lucas asked the moment Karissa opened her door to her family's apartment later that day.

Karissa looked at Lucas strangely before slowly nodding. "Sure."

"So, I went with my mom to get all the ingredients and when we were checking out, I noticed this." Lucas pulled out a magazine with Karissa's face on the cover that he was concealing behind his back.

Lucas raised his brows. "You're a supermodel?"

Karissa shook her head immediately. "No! No, I'm really not, I've just done some modeling gigs. It's nothing special."

"Teen Vogue isn't special?" he questioned in disbelief.

At that moment, the front door swung open, revealing Jamie who used the spare key she was given and waltzed in, heading straight to the kitchen.
