Seokjin felt like he was soaring high up in the clouds after his eventful night with Taehyung. It had been three days since they made love but Seokjin just couldn't get the images of a naked Taehyung above him, sweat glistening in the moonlight and eyes ablaze with lust and love.
He hummed merrily as he strolled down the corridor to his room. He swung open the doors to his chambers and immediately froze at the doorway when he saw Hoseok neatly folding his garments into his trunk. Two more trunks, however smaller in size, were placed infront of the door of Hoseok and Jungkook- conjoined room.
With furrowed eyebrows, Seokjin approached his friend.
"What's happening, hyung?" Seokjin asked.
"We are going back." Hoseok said in a monotonous tone, his usual positive glow had faded into dim sadness.
Seokjin's frown deepened.
They were going back?
Why?
They were supposed to stay at Nahae until Jisoo got married. And that was supposed to take place much later since the rulers of Nahae had several matters to discuss with the rulers of Gyeongsong before the wedding. Moreover, Taehyung's coronation also had to be looked upon before the marriage so why were they heading back to Gyeongsong?
"Hyung, do you know why?" Seokjin asked in a cautious manner, fearing that he might trigger Hoseok's bad mood even further until it exploded. And Seokjin knew from past experience that an upset Hoseok was not someone he wanted to deal with.
Seokjin understood why Hoseok was so bothered. Firstly, during their stay in Nahae, Hoseok's duties lessened and he had the freedom to interact with the other servants who were so nice unlike the ones back at Gyeongsong. He could even talk to the princes without facing any serious consequences since the King and Queen could not punish him then. Moreover, at Gyeongsong, Hoseok got judged for not using his air controlling powers often. The assistants thought that Hoseok was a weakling when the male just wanted to do everything with his own effort rather than easily completing errands with magic. Lastly, Yoongi was here and one would call themselves blind to deny the longing looks Hoseok and Yoongi shared at eye contact. They must have had some sort of arrangement like Seokjin and Taehyung to spend time together.
"I just heard a minor part of the reason. Everyone thinks that the fire caused at the fair was by some scumbag from Azadelle who came here undercover. Gyeongsong is expecting attacks. Or so the Queen likes to think."
Seokjin wanted to disclose that it was him who had caused the fire but that would create such chaos. Firstly, their reactions would not be so pleasant if they find out Seokjin's hidden abilities; he might get house arrested or worse, exiled. Secondly, the royal family of Nahae, atleast the King and Queen, would suspect Seokjin of doing it on purpose to sabotage the celebration and that would break ties between the two royal families. Thirdly, they might even think that Seokjin was the undercover from Azadelle and would announce his death sentence.
Hoseok said that it was just the tip of the iceberg so maybe revealing his secret would not be worth it.
Hoseok slammed the lid of the trunk shut, making Seokjin snap out of his thoughts. He sighed heavily before saying, "Jungkook is at the royal stables, preparing the horses for the journey. I'll be with the princesses' assistants if you need me."
When Hoseok left, Seokjin slumped down on his bed and buried his face in his hands. Seeing Hoseok in despair made Seokjin feel so melancholy. He wished he could do something to interfere with his parents' plans but if it concerned the welfare of Gyeongsong, there was nothing he could do.
He needed to talk to his sisters.

Seokjin found all four of his sisters in the royal library, each holding a book in their hands but none of them looked focused.
