A soft knock echoed through Seokjin's luxurious bedroom, pulling the Prince put of the thrilling tales of the books he borrowed from his Lisa noona. It was the second week of his banishment from the royal stables and all he could do was busy himself with books. Usually he'd go out to the woods with Kimchi and venture into nature. He liked detaching himself from the royal palace, away from his title, away from his prison. Moreover, being banned from the stables meant he couldn't pay his friend, Jungkook, who was the caretaker of the horses, visits.
"Come in." Seokjin permitted the person to enter his chamber.
Hoseok entered, almost too excitedly as he tripped over his own feet and faceplanted on the velvety carpeted floor.
"Hoseok hyung! Are you okay?" Seokjin got down on his knees to help his friend up.
"I'm great, Seokjinnie." Hoseok assured the Prince with one of his blinding sunshine smiles.
"In fact, I'm so zealous that I may start jumping!" Hoseok exclaimed.
"I can see that." Seokjin chuckled and lead his hyung to the cluster of cushiony seats.
"So what's going on, hyung?" Seokjin asked as they settled down on the feather-soft couch.
"The Royal Family of Nahae has invited the Royal Family of Gyeongsong to their kingdom!" Hoseok said with a squeal. "And the Queen said every one of you siblings can choose two companions to serve and ensure your safety at Nahae."
"You're gonna pick me and Jungkook right?" Hoseok said, his eyes eager and bright.
"Ofcourse I will!" Seokjin said but then he paused, his posture stiffening.
If they're visiting Nahae now, did that mean the marriage is soon to be held?
If so, did Jisoo really agree to the marriage so easily or was she being forced?
Seokjin needed to talk to his sister.
"Is there anything wrong, Prince Seokjinnie?" Hoseok inquired, dipping his head to the side, as if trying to read the Prince's mind by eye contact.
"Don't bother yourself over it, Hoseok hyung." Seokjin said with a forced smile. "Will you start preparing my trunk for the stay at Nahae? I need to talk to one of the princesses."
Hoseok bowed, sunny smile and all, and got to work.
Seokjin exited his quarters and made his way to his twin's which was on the North Wing of the palace. He bowed to the guards who stood at his sister's chamber door and proceeded to go in, after knocking ofcourse.
"Seokjin?"
Jisoo was getting her nails painted. The dresser was on her knees, her skillful hands coating a pale shade of blue on the princess's rectangular nails.
"Is this preparation to meet your prince?" Seokjin asked with a brow raised.
Jisoo blushed at the question and cleared her throat, saying, "Mother wanted me to look presentable to my future husband, dongsaeng. Call me noona, by the way."
"Aish, we are twins! Must I address you as noona?" Seokjin grumbled.
"Yes." Jisoo concluded, finger pointed at Seokjin's face, causing a sprinkle of water to wet the prince's face.
"Don't take advantage of your powers, noona." Seokjin dragged the o to mock his sister, who in return splashed more water at her twin.
"Fine, fine!" Seokjin surrendered with his hands in the air, spitting a bit of water on the blood red carpet, an act which would have made Jisoo flood Seokjin's chambers but thank Heavens the dresser was with them.
