The zombie was fast, durable, and overwhelming powerful; it moved like a whirlwind. First, it smashed into Kale's leg with a sickening crunch. Kale screamed and fell under her own weight. Molly screamed and rushed forward, wand-waving.

Magic circles appeared around her before ejecting pink lances. She raised her wand high, and world qi gathered for a devastating spell.

Molly waved her wand only for the zombie to catch her wand. The fiend snapped the head off the wand and threw it aside. Then he punched her in the gut throwing her ass over tea kettle into a wall.

Vraley charged forward only for the zombie to cold clock her with a right hook. The deertaur fell like a sack of potatoes.

I pushed myself back to my feet and threw a punch. The zombie caught my fist and stared down his rotten green nose at me. It squeezed my fist, and my bones screamed out in protest. The dungeon's qi swirled around the monster thicker than I've ever seen. It was like a giant receiver channeling vast amounts of power.

The bones in my hand-ground together as I pushed more power into my body. My technique wasn't enough against such a strong enemy. Even boosting my strength with qi, the multiplier wasn't enough. I was running into a problem; I needed a stronger body.

A grin spread over the zombie's face revealing cracked black teeth. "I lived in a modern world where men and women were equal. Do you know America?" The zombie said.

Flames erupted from my hand. "I can see it in your eyes, you know. You aren't from this world, but you still have power. Check your privilege." The zombie yelled.

It flashed to my side, gripped my wrist, and smashed my elbow with its fist. Bones snapped and tore through my skin. Blood sprayed down my arm in spurts sizzling from the flames moving up my arm.

At that moment, I hit the panic button.

Black qi gathered around my body as my battle form struggled to activate. There was no other qi but my own to supply the skill. My blood boiled as it gushed from my ruined arm and my cultivation base burned at both ends. Black flames gathered around my left hand, and I struck.

The zombie managed to bring its hands up. My blow struck, burning through the zombie's dead flesh, and drove it back. I watched as dungeon qi flowed into the zombie, rapidly regenerating its wound.

"Now safe room," Molly shouted as a scroll burned in her hands.

Magic symbols appeared around us, and the zombie vanished from the room. Symbols spread out around the room before burning themselves into the walls. Molly got up and went to Kale while I dropped my battle form and collapsed.

"What's this?" I asked.

Molly sucked in a sob. "I used a saferoom enchantment scroll. It temporarily separates a room in a dungeon from the dungeon. We have maybe 10 hours before this one fades." Molly said.

I sensed world qi enter the room and felt less exhausted. My cultivation recovered at a snail's pace, and with every heartbeat, blood poured as my bones moved. If the break had been painful, then healing was much worse. I watched as my bones moved back into place before the skin began to knit together.

"It's the room given enough time and mana we'll all make a full recovery. That and you're a freak of nature. Kale could take 9 hours to recover from her injury, and Vraley might die. Also, I'm pretty useless without my wand. I can make penises all day, but I need my wand for anything useful." Molly said.

"I'll be ok; it isn't that bad," Kale said.

The limb was turned the wrong way. And bones clearly poked out through the skin. She wasn't walking on it anytime soon.
