Courtney sat in math class with her notebook open, drawing hearts with G+C in the middle.
"What's that?" Courtney slammed her notebook shut at the sudden voice next to her. "Chill, Court, it's just me." Heather said, sitting down. Courtney rolled her eyes. "So, when are you gonna ask goth girl to homecoming?"
"What?! I don't like her!" Courtney objected. The taller girl rolled her eyes.
"Sure..."
"Fuck off."
"Ouch, you know she likes you, right?" Heather said, sitting down in her usual seat.
"What? No she doesn't!" Courtney replied.
"Are you dumb, Court? She's always blushing around you, she always talks to you, she smiles when she sees you, she can't keep her eyes off you! Courtney, I know you don't take risks, but this girl is head over heels for you and I can't let you miss your chance with her because you're too busy denying your feelings!" Courtney looked down, Heather was right.
"I know. After school I'm going to ask her!" Courtney said with a bright smile. Heather hugged her. Courtney pulled out her phone and sent a quick text to her crush, asking her to meet her after school. They soon decided to meet in the choir room.
______________________________________Bridgette walked down the hall, happier than she had been the past few days. The Wednesday school paper had come out with a certain article about the party on Friday.
"Bridgette!" A voice called from down the hallway. She turned around with a smirk. Geoff came running to her with the paper in hand. "The fuck is this?!"
"What do you mean?"
"'Geoff is a condescending asshole who enjoys controlling girls. He didn't let me speak to anyone. He accused me of cheating. He had a victim complex. Most importantly, he was extremely clingy.' You told lies about me! I had 7 girls slap me today!" Geoff said, reading the article.
"I told the truth." Bridgette replied.
"You fucking liar!" He yelled.
"Geoff, I suggest you choose your words carefully. I have connections. I can ruin your life in a second." She smirked and continued walking.
____________________________________Gwen cheerfully walked to the choir room after school. She got permission to set up her things in order to ask Courtney out to homecoming. She walked in and stood in a particular part. A few minutes later, Courtney walked in.
"Hey, Gwen!" She greeted.
"Hey, Court, I um wanted to tell you something..."
"Me too." Courtney replied.
"Oh, okay. You can go first." Gwen suggested. Courtney stood nervously.
"Ok... Gwen, will you go to homecoming with me?" Gwen's mouth hung open. Courtney started tearing up. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-" she was cut off by Gwen pressing a button.
Will you go to homecoming with me, Courtney? Said the banner that had unrolled at the push of the button.
Courtney read it and started laughing.
"Guess we had the same idea..." Gwen joked. They laughed. Gwen walked closer before kissing Courtney.
_______________________________________Justin walked down the hall thinking.
Should I ask Trent to homecoming? Wait, he's straight. I'll just go alone.
He was in the middle of thinking when he bumped into someone.
"I'm so sorry." He apologized, helping the girl up.
"Oh, it's nothing." He soon realized it was Katie.
"Oh, hey, Katie!" He greeted. "Where's Sadie?"
"She got checked out for a dentist appointment. I actually wanted to talk to you."
"Okay, what's up?" He asked. Katie looked around the hallway. There were a few more kids in the hall. She pulled him into the empty classroom.
"I know that you're gay." She told him. His eyes widened.
"Wha- how?!"
"I am too, which means I have excellent gaydar." She explained. "The thing is, neither of us are out yet."
"...yeah?" He had no clue where this was going.
"We should go to homecoming together. Sadie keeps pressuring me to get a date, and you are the best option because we won't catch feelings for each other." Justin nodded slowly.
"Okay, sure." He said.
"Wait, you'll actually do it?" She asked.
"Yeah, it's that or I go alone." She hugged him tightly. They separated and left the room. They parted ways and Justin walked down the hall. He soon saw Trent.
"Hey, Justin!" He greeted. "So... um... are you taking anyone to homecoming?"
"Oh, um... I'm going with Katie." He told him. Trent's eyes widened a little and his smile fell.
"Oh, cool. I-I have to go..." he turned and left quickly. Justin looked at his shoes.
