A/N--I think you've probably realized that I'm changing this book from third person to first. That being said, please notify me of any grammatical mistakes that might occur with the transition. Enjoy :)

Do something, Sister! Order yelled as the figure sat down next to me.

I was in a state between my mind and body; I could only scream at my injured body to magically start listening and move when the figure reached for the arrow that was through my gut. I didn't know what the figure's motive was—and I didn't really want to find out.

Do what? End asked sarcastically. Maybe take control and whip out some karate moves? Oh wait—there's a freaking arrow stuck in our body! We're both stuck here! Do some moves, Magic Man!

OUR body? I asked incredulously. Since when did you care so much about me?

I can't take over the world if you're dead, End told me as Order argued, I'm as helpless as you are! My powers work to calm, not fight! This is where you're supposed to cover me!

You need to learn how to be aggressive, End said, so you can do something in a situation like this one.

Well, you're BOTH useless, I jumped in. It was nice knowing you.

I weakly balled my hands into fists, ready for the coming pain as the figure clasped the arrow gently in one hand.

But even in my semi-conscious state, the pain was more than I had ever expected. It was almost on Tartarus-level pain, and that usually was a bad thing.

The barbs on the back of the arrowhead had no mercy, eagerly grasping at whatever material it could find with ease. Even though it was slick with blood, the arrow pulled at everything, trying to do as much damage as possible.

Wait. That didn't seem right.

With a final stomach-heaving squelch and wave of agony, the arrow slid out of the wound, and I sighed with relief.

I tried to struggle out of their grip, but a calming hand guided my head into their lap. I watched the sun slowly peek up over the tops of the trees as the night slowly receded.

"I'm sorry about this, my little hero," the figure said in a female and very hypnotizing voice as she stroked my hair like you would to someone very close to you. "But it had to be done."

Well, that doesn't sound too good, End commented.

I had to agree with that. But I couldn't do anything about her worry; since the arrow was out, I was slowly bleeding to death.

But a little part of my mind asked the question I was afraid of being true: what if she is just healing me up so she can kill me?

End snorted. Definitely the rational part of your brain. Think for a second. She could kill you any second. You're screwed no matter what.

Why do you always think people will resort to violence? Order asked. Can't people just do something good once in a while?

Of course they can! You're here, aren't you? A person who couldn't even kill a mosquito even if it bit you multiple times.

I've killed loads of mosquitoes before! Order argued.

End gave a dramatic gasp. Oh, my innocent little brother is growing up! Admitting to his sins and accepting his evil nature by helping eradicate a species that shouldn't even exist! The point is that this woman has an aura around her akin to an immortal's. And not all immortals are like us: friendly, forgiving—
