"I think it's cute"

As Jasmine sat in her room with her furry companion Moose, she tried her best to rest but with everything going on it was hard to. No to mention the exchange of words between Loki and her father, it had really gotten to her. She had left her door open in case there was something urgent going on though she wanted nothing more than to have peace.

Though that didn't happen when a tall, blonde, super soldier came knocking at her door, kind of. When Steve he had noticed that she had left, he followed after her, not immediately but he still did. So when he saw her door open he took that as his opportunity to talk to the girl.

Jasmine was occupied with her pup on her lap when she heard a knock on the doorframe, "Hey."

"Oh uhm...hi." She stuttered looking up to see Steve. She was unsure on what to say so she said the thing that was most logical to her. "Are you lost?"

Steve shook his head no, "Oh– no just–I never really introduced myself properly."

"I know who you are, Captain Rogers-"

He cut her off, "Steve. You can call me Steve."

She nodded standing from her sitting position to hold her hand out to the man, "Jasmine." She said before turning to introduce her pup, "That's moose."

"Well it's nice to meet you both well, formally meet you." He tried to say in a more comforting manner but he could tell she was kind of uncomfortable. She had kept on glancing at things around the room to avoid eye contact.

"Do you maybe want to go get something to eat?" He asked, trying to be as friendly as possible. He wasn't expecting her to agree so when he heard her mutter a quiet 'sure' he was happy.

They both exited the area where her room was and continued to walk through the halls. It was silent but Steve was determined to talk to her, "Not the best at talking to new people?" He finally said, making the girl go wide eyed.

"Kinda figured. I mean you have only said a few words so far since I've met you."

She let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding, "I just get anxious around new people. Sorry." She apologized.

"N-no it's fine. I think it's cute." Steve blurted out unintentionally making the girl blush but he was horrified. He didn't want to come across as creepy so he quickly tried to fix what he meant.

"I mean...it's-uh.." Thankfully he was cut off by the sound of a yelp coming from the lab. It came from Bruce and they turned to see that Tony had poked him with something. This immediately angered Steve. Jasmine wasn't sure if she should go on or not. She wanted to go off on her own but felt guilty if she just left without saying anything so she just waited.

"Hey!" He yelled walking into the room with Jasmine following behind him. "Are you nuts?"

"You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?" Tony continued to joke with Bruce.
