The day started off normal for Kyle, he got up from his empty bed and looked at himself in the mirror, the only thing in his room beside his closet and bed. In his reflection, he saw himself with his orange hair and his mixed-matched eyes, the left one brown, and the right one blue. He sighed as he walked over to his closet to get clothed. He wore worn Jeans and an orange and white checkered shirt. Once he was dressed, he walked to the kitchen to get some breakfast, upon entering the kitchen he stopped when he saw his mom there. She was shocked at the sight of him with fear in her expression to quickly change to a mixture of anger and disgust. His mother quickly hit him with a still-hot frying pan, forcing his body to slam on the ground. she screamed in anger, shouting at him to clean up the blood. When his mother stomped out of the kitchen, He ignored her demands and got a waffle pack out of the fridge. Kyle walked back to his room and locked the door to enjoy his raw waffles in peace.

After he was done eating, he got his books and school supplies ready for high school. However, once Kyle left his room his dad was in front of the door blocking his way. His dad hit him on the head with a beer bottle for not listening to his mom. Kyle grunted in frustration, quickly slipped away from his dad, and ran out of the house. Kyle's dad was yelling at him to come back so he didn't stop running until he could no longer hear his dad. Kyle then groaned and sighed deeply this time; no matter how many times this happened he would never be fully used to it.

As he walked to his high school, he licked his hands and used the saliva to wipe the blood off his forehead; he didn't worry about the wounds, though he knew they would heal quickly. Being a freak has its perks Kyle thought to himself. Once Kyle made it to the school grounds, he saw lots of other students who had just made it to school as well. As Kyle expected when he passed by his fellow students, they looked at him with either hatred or disgust. One in particular who was taller and bulkier than Kyle passed him by and spat in front of him, Kyle sighed as he avoided the spit on the floor and heard other students laughing at him. Kyle finally entered the school only to see Marco, the first-year student. Marco was one of Kyle's only friends, he had black hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and wore a camo sweatshirt with camo long pants while on his wheelchair. Marco had a slow processing brain; it didn't hinder his intelligence in any way but did make most of what he said sound like gibberish. Marco could also walk but he was always too slow so using a Wheelchair was much easier to move around for him.

Kyle smiled when he saw Marco and took his wheelchair to escort him to his next class, Kyle had a different class form Marco, but Kyle didn't mind being late to his own class. Kyle found being around Marco nice since Marco always had a positive attitude that could shake him out of his depression, in fact Marco was the only one who could make Kyle smile. Kyle took his time walking down the right main hall of the school toward Marco's first class, Marco was talking about how an Abrams M1A2 tank was built, how powerful its cannon was, and how fast it could go despite being a large and heavy vehicle. Kyle didn't care about the military as much as Marco did, but he still enjoyed listening to Marco go on about things he was the most passionate about. Though Kyle did stop smiling when he passed by Logan. Logan had blonde hair, white skin, had blue eyes, and was physically more muscular than Kyle. Logan even wore grey shorts and a black tank top just to show how muscular he was. Logan glared at Marco with anger but then saw Kyle glaring back at him, Logan then scoffed and rolled his eyes away and kept walking the opposite direction. Finally, Kyle got Marco to his first class of Algebra, but Kyle didn't want to leave Marco, both because he was his friend and because of how the teacher stared at Marco with anger and disgust. Kyle glared at the teacher in burning rage since he knew what she thought of kids like Marco.
