Chapter 5: Day 1 of Massacre

There was blood all over the walls like a massive slaughtering had taken place, only there weren't any bodies, just blood and lots of it. The lights in the ceiling were flickering off and on like in a horror movie, but besides the destruction and blood, it was completely baren. Judging by the situation, either the possessed teachers managed to eat all the kids, or the kids managed to escape before the possessed teachers could finish them off. Kyle hoped that the second scenario happened, he turned to his right to the nearest class in hopes of confirming his theory. However, instantly Kyle was pushed back to the doors by something so fast he couldn't even see it. Before he could get up a kid wearing an open black jacket with a surfer shirt and jeans appeared out of nowhere and put his foot on Kyle's chest, keeping him down.

"Who are you?" He looked at Kyle with a serious and focused expression showing he wasn't one to waste time. Kyle tried getting the kids foot off of him, but the kid instantaneously kicked Kyle's arm away and stopped on Kyle's chest to continue keeping him down.

"WHO. THE FUCK. ARE YOU?! " This kid was an EVO with the power of accelerated speed no less; it was clear that Kyle couldn't easily win this fight, so he went with the easier choice of just taking it out.

"Kyle, my name is Kyle."

"Well Kyle what are you doing in my school?"

"I was hoping to find kids here and bring them back to the high school where they could be safe."

"Well, that sounds nice but me and my pals ain't going nowhere with you!"

"By the looks of things, you'd be safer there, than here."

"And why the hell should I trust a weakling you? Because you're a highschooler? I'm an EVO asshole! That respect your superiors bullshit doesn't apply to me." The boy pressed his foot more into Kyle's chest to show his power and dominance. Kyle was aggravated for once again being called a weakling and unleashed a large but quick blast of fire. Like Kyle predicted it didn't hurt the kid, but it did scare him into backing off, Kyle quickly used this opportunity to kick the kid back and get up. Kyle then ran to the kid, forced him up, and pinned him to the wall.

"Ugh... hm, hahaha, well you're fast." Suddenly, the boy disappeared, and Kyle had both arms pinned to his back and pushed to the wall.

"But you'll never be as fast as me bro." Kyle unleashed another quick but large burst of flames around his body to make the kid back off. Kyle then quickly turned around and ignited his hand in fire to show the kid he was ready to fight.

"Wow! You really are an EVO! Well sorry about that if I would have known you were like me, I wouldn't have attacked, Us EVO's gotta stick together. I'm Jackson! Jackson held his hand out for Kyle to shake, but instead he stared at him.

"So, if I was a human, you would have beaten me?"

"Well yeah... oh god! Please tell me you're not one of those human loving EVO weirdos."

"No. trust me I have my fair share of hatred for humans, however most of my friends are humans"

"Oh no bro, I didn't mean to come off as a complete human hating asshole! I mean I have some friends and family that are human!"

"Speaking of friends where are yours"

"Oh shit! That's right, your whole sanctuary thing! Yeah right, don't worry we're all held up in cafeteria! Come with me, you'll explain to them the whole thing and let's get the fuck out of here bro!" Kyle was glad to hear that there were other survivors at the middle school; but although he wasn't showing it, Kyle was getting irritated by Jacksons constant cursing.
