The sun left a scorching blaze upon the beach, as the tender blue waves rushed upon the shore. Daniel had just arrived with Freddy and the rest of his friends. As they we're starting a game of beach soccer- Daniel saw her, the girl- sitting a couple feet away with some other girls. The game had made its way to the girls blanket, and Daniel had the ball... until he looked down at the girl, who grinned and stared back up. Freddy immediately stole the ball and ran away, the rest of the group following him. Daniel pointed to them, as she giggled- and ran away, chasing after the ball. "So that's the guy?" one of the other girls on the towel asked, in an excited tone. She giggled again, a rose colored blush spreading across her face. "You've always had good taste, Chi." She giggled yet again, staring at Daniel. "Let's go for a swim?" one of them asked, slowly getting up. The rest of the girls followed- removing their shirts- and eventually they made their way to the water.

The boys were sitting on their towels, sipping beer. Daniel gazed over to the girls running into the water, and Freddy followed his stare. "Chi?" he questioned, and Daniel turned his head- startled. "That's her name?" He asked, taking a sip of beer. "Well technically, her full name is Churasan. But, most call her Chi." Daniel nodded, a grin settling on his face. "She's been staring at you all day, y'know..." Freddy smirked, clicking his tongue. "Yeah right..." Daniel said, turning around.

Later, the girls were chilling on their towels. Chi was playing music from her radio, and staring at Daniel from across the shoreline. Ali turned around, noticing how quiet Chi was. She then followed her gaze, straight to Daniel. Ali laughed, startling her. "One of you guys better make a move..." Chi blushed. "I'll wait." she then stated, a stern look on her face. Right as she turned around, she felt a ball hit her back. She froze... and behind her was Daniel, picking up the ball. Chi smiled and jumped up from the towel, meeting Daniel's stance. "Hey, listen. Sorry if they're bothering you..." he said, immediately blushing. "You say sorry a lot... not that it's a bad thing..." Chi started, in a flirtatious manner. Daniels cheeks blazed a complete red now, and he ran his fingers through his hair. "And your name is..." he questioned, acting as if he didn't know. "Churasan, but everyone calls me Chi. And you're Daniel, if I remember correctly?..." Daniel laughed. "With an L." Chi smirked, and they stared at each other for a while, letting the beach breeze blow their hair.

Suddenly, the rumbling of many tires hitting pebbles came closer. Chi looked up to the parking lot, her eyes wide. Daniel followed her stare, sensing she was uneasy. "Listen... i'm gonna head back to the towel..." she started, and Daniel nodded- but it was too late. Sand flew in all directions, and the sound of laughter clipped the air. Chi groaned, and stomped back to her towel, turning the music on her radio to the highest. Ali hugged her back. Chi then felt a tap on her shoulder. She didn't have to check to know who it was. "C'mon... I just wanna talk." Chi turned around, gave the boy an unwilling look, and turned back towards the water. He turned the radio off- and grabbed her arm, making Chi upset. "Get off me!" she exclaimed, pulling free from his touch. Daniel looked at the two, and started to walk over very slowly. "Why don't you want to talk?" He asked, a pleading tone in his voice. He grabbed her arm again, and this time- pushed him away, enraging him as well. "Chi!" he said, a hurt look illustrated across his face. Chi groaned out of annoyance. Suddenly- she felt Johnny's hands on her waist. Chi then stood up, and attempted to slap him across the face, but he blocked it, and then slapped her, causing her to fall to the sand. Everyone stared at him, shocked. "Hey!" Daniel ran over to Chi. He was about to sit her up, until the boy struck him across the face, causing him to fall down as well. "Why you trying to move on my girl, huh?" he questioned- enraged, hitting him in the stomach. Daniel winced, still looking over at the knocked out Chi. "Fight, Johnny!" the boys on the side yelled, laughter arising. Johnny looked down at Chi for a second- feeling instant regret, until out of nowhere- he was struck in the face by Daniel- who had jumped off from the sand. Chi was regaining consciousness, and looked up at Johnny and Daniel. Ali was by her side, a worried look across her face. Meanwhile- Daniel was knocked into the sand, a trail of blood dripping across his face. Daniel stood up slowly- and just as he was about to get kicked by Johnny- Chi quickly planted her hands in the sand and swiftly swept Johnny off his legs. Her head was spinning- but she walked over to Johnny, who was lying in the sand, and kicked him in the stomach, making the rest of his gang go quiet. "And you wonder why I ended it, huh?" she screamed, and kicked him again. Johnny sighed, and sat up slowly as she then rushed over to Daniel. His friends helped him up and they immediately jumped on their bikes, driving away. Ali walked over to them, and Chi looked at Daniel, tears falling from her cheeks. Freddy's friends then started snickering. "Cool friends you make Freddy- he definitely has some moves." They laughed. Freddy looked at Daniel- disappointed. They walked away, and suddenly Daniel's eyes flickered, looking up at Chi. Ali had now walked over, patting her shoulder. "Look Chi... I gotta go, but call me..." Chi nodded, still looking down at Daniel. Daniel's vision unblurred- and when he saw who it was, he turned away- embarrassed. "You need to get cleaned up. Let me help you." Daniel- still embarrassed- wanted to decline the offer, but he didn't want to go home to his mom like this either. Chi sat him up carefully- and after a bit, Chi walked off the beach with him, back to their apartments.
