Now that Daniel had down all the basics, it was time to "Advance" as Mr. Miyagi had said it. They sat out on a field, Chi leaning on a rock- a drawing pad in her hand, starting to sketch the scene. Mr. Miyagi was decked out in pads, and a big helmet. A large target was painted on the chest of his pad. Chi watched as he danced around Mr. Miyagi, causing her to laugh. Mr. Miyagi became obviously irritated, and immediately- Daniel got back to serious work.

Though Daniel was advancing quickly- Mr. Miyagi still insisted on him learning the basics, or as he said "Must practice walking, or no fly." Chi thought of this as Daniel balanced on the edge of the boat, Mr. Miyagi peacefully fishing- and Chi, sitting on her paddle board. Besides dancing, karate, and art- she loved paddle boarding, and practicing her balance. She started to hum- and Daniel immediately opened his eyes in her direction, distracted by her beautiful voice. He immediately started to shake- and fell over, causing a big splash to erupt from the water. As much as Chi wanted to laugh, as soon as she saw Mr. Miyagi's face- she decided to turn around quickly.

Mr. Miyagi loved training with them at the beach, aswell. Mr. Miyagi loved the beach anyways- and so did Chi, so they were there constantly. Chi sat on a towel- drawing Daniel attempting to stay balanced in the waves. After they were finished, Chi packed up her stuff and ran over to Daniel with a towel. "Thanks Chia-Seed." he said, causing Chi's face to become a rosy pink. It was a name he had started using for her out of nowhere, but she thought it was cute. Mr. Miyagi jumped off the stump, and started walking over to them. Together, they started towards the car. "What kick were you doing over there?" He asked, causing Mr. Miyagi to turn towards him. "Crane technique," he replied, and Daniel nodded. "Think you could teach me?" he asked excitedly. Mr. Miyagi laughed. "What Miyagi tell you," he said, causing Daniel to sigh. "Must practice walking in order to fly." he replied, as if he's said it 100 times. Daniel looked over to Chi, who was staring at their car. "What's wrong?" he asked, following his girlfriend's gaze. Two odd looking men had made themselves at home on their truck, and Daniel bit his lip when he saw this. They made it to the car, and one of the men was staring at Chi, laughing. "Please move. Must go home." They looked at him and continued to laugh, putting Daniel on edge. "C'mon man, we need to leave." "How about a deal." one of the men said, earning a confused look from Daniel and Chi. "Let me take your girlfriend home for a spin and then we'll have things settled." The other man started laughing hysterically. Chi looked to the ground, obviously uncomfortable. This immediately enraged Daniel- and he stepped towards the men in anger, but Mr. Miyagi held him back. "Last warning." he replied calmly, causing them to laugh harder. "I mean, if our deal works, then..." suddenly, Mr. Miyagi let out a loud karate scream, chopping off all the tops of the beer bottles placed on top of his car. One stared at him in shock and the other picked up his bottle, nudging the other man away. When they left, Daniel and Chi looked at Mr. Miyagi, completely shocked. "How'd you do that?" Chi asked, her eyes still staring at the shattered glass. He laughed. "Don't know. First time." They hopped into the car and drove off.
