Chapter 10: Alaric's Cure

"Mia, I am incredibly sorry that I have threatened you and it was wrong of me to take my frustration out on you. I do not want you to think I blame you for this curse on Alaric. I am just done with all this stress right now because I only have been cleared to do shit again and being thrown into a wall does not help me. Oh, and just call me Anna please, Ok." Mia nodded and said "Anna I knew that you did not blame for the curse being on Alaric and I am sorry that you are being over-stressed after just being cleared. I believe you need to go get some rest it will be another day or so before I finish. Besides, you were thrown into a wall and had just got cleared to walk around and work on your Luna duties. Finding this out cannot be the best for you right now please go rest and I will see you tomorrow." I had this feeling that she knew something that I did not even know.

We began trying to reverse the curse that was put on Alaric with magic. There was a problem Mia might have created the curse, but she did not cast it on him. We must backtrack and thought that he had to of picked up the curse when he entered the cell, I was in. I spoke up and said "I think Alaric when you entered the cell, I was in you might have gotten the curse then. I remember every time they entered, they said words and they said those words before they left. It might be the curse they were saying and deactivating it when they entered. Alaric my love I think when you touched the handle of the cell you got it."

Mia was shaking her head as if she were thinking then said "Anna, I believe that you are correct but if that is true then they changed my curse to fit their needs. Meaning until I can figure out how they changed it I cannot reverse the curse on Alaric. I am sorry Anna I really am." When she said that last part my heart dropped. I think the information was too much for me to handle I had collapsed in front of everyone. If it were not for Alaric, I would have hit my head hard on the floor. I woke up in our bed with the yelling happening down the hall. I got up off the bed and walk towards the yelling. The yelling is coming from Alaric and Alex, but I did not bother worrying about what it was about, but I knew I had to stop them.

I looked at him and yelled at him through our private mind link. Alaric why the hell are you yelling at Alex. He is just giving you what sounds like a report from cellars, and you are yelling at him. So, help me moon goddess that you are not yelling at him because of absolutely anything. I walked forward as I am yelling at him in mind link and noticed that Alex was giving me a worried look. Having the Luna collapse Alaric comes forward shrugging and said "Anna I didn't mean to yell at him if that is what I was doing. With you hurt and the stress of the curse, I think I am becoming overwhelmed by what is going on." I nodded looked at Alex and back at Alaric and said "Babe I understand but there is no need to take it out on Alex. Especially since Alex is just doing his job now you apologize to him ok." He nodded his head and apologized to Alex. Alex continued to say "Well, Alpha and Luna we have a problem. Allison is beginning to show concern and worry about what is about to happen. I mean being in isolation can do that, but I think she may be going insane more than usual."

We nodded for him to continue so he did "She is babbling about some people coming to get her and kill her and the baby. I think since we have not sent her to Mia's old clan for their payment. They might be coming to retrieve her themselves. By any chance is this curse their way of having you distracted long enough to get her. If so, I think it takes days for them to figure out where she is and how to get her." I had to sit down after feeling faint again, but we had realized what they were doing. We went and told Mia what we have figured out and she said "Alaric and Anna if that is true, we are in big trouble until they can find her, you will have this curse. Since we have not handed her over, they might take more than just Allison. Anna are you sure you are ok and do not want to see a doctor after being thrown into a wall and then fainting. I think you should really go and see the pack doctor make sure you are ok." I shook my head no and we went on with what we were talking about.

I did have to sit down because I had become dizzy again. Next thing I know Alaric is all over me trying to talk to me. I had spaced out and this time they were having trouble getting my attention. I had excused myself this time to go back to bed, but I did not even make it that far when I had fallen. This time I hear my parent's voice calling me again. Anna my sweetheart since you mated with Alaric you are taking part of the curse from him and if the curse is not broken soon, you will possibly hurt yourself more. Please I beg you tell Mia what I just said, and she can help with what is happening. Please Anna stop being stubborn and get help. Also, call your brother back to your pack because he is also in danger same with his new mate. Now go Anna, we love you, sweetheart. I woke up once again this time everyone is above me and I get up with Alaric's help. I tell them what is happening and that we need to call my brother back over to the house.

Mia looks astonished that her old clan had modified the curse to more than one person. What she said had me more unnerved "Anna please if your parents what me to help you. You will have to tell me everything that has happened to you since you guys mated a little over 2 weeks ago." I sighed and told her everything I do not think she was expecting the last bit of what I had said. I had said "Mia what has me so unedged is that I keep seeing invisible people throughout my home and throughout the pack. I do not get it if they are ghosts or your old clan trying to find Allison and her unborn child or what. They keep following me and giving me a warning. 'HAND OVER THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE AND YOU WILL BE FREE. FAIL TO DO SO WILL FALL IN THE DESTRUCTION OF THE THING YOU HOLD SO DEAR.'" I looked at Mia's face and her jaw was to the ground.

Mia looks at me and says "Anna, my friend that was my old clan giving you a threat to give them Allison or else. I think they may have other plans than just taking your traitor. I think they may take your unborn child and hand it over to Evan and his clan. It is their way of teaching you to withhold what they want by punishing you and Alaric." My mouth was open in astonishment and then put my hand on my stomach. Just thinking that someone may take my child away from me when he/she is born had me in tears. That is when Alaric came in and came to my side and asked "Anna, my love what is wrong?" but before I could answer Mia answered his question. Mia had said, "Alaric my old clan has threatened your wife by saying that they might take her unborn child away from her once he/she is born and hand it over to the vampires." I sobbed uncontrollably and let Alaric process what had just been told to him before all hell broke loss.
