You were dozing off in your chair in the library, a book in your hand. The words blurred and unfocused in your view, sleepiness threatening to overtake you. Your thoughts wandered back to the dream you had last night, your body feeling phantom kisses on your jaw and neck.
"I love you, my precious wife."
Did he mean it? In the dream? Did he mean those sacred words? It seemed that you, you in this dream, had wed the male. Why though?
You were unaware of yourself slowly slipping into a dreamless sleep as your thoughts ran wild. You tried to figure out your dream. Tried to figure out if it meant something.
It should've scared you that it was Kaeya who you had wed in the dream. But for some reason... it felt right to be in his arms, to have him idly draw nonsensical shapes with his fingers on your belly, to have him kiss you senseless and call you his wife.
Even if it was all just a dream.•☆▪︎▪︎▪︎☆•
Kaeya walked through the hallways, his cape curled up in his arms. He'd just gotten back from his... expedition, to put it lightly. There were blood splatters on his cheek, most of it hidden by his hair. The rest of him looked pristine and clean, but it was his face that remained stained.
Adrenaline still rushed through him, the excitement of battle pumping through his head.
Kill... kill. Kill! Kill! KILL! KILL EVERY LAST ONE-
Take your throne, oh mighty King.
We waited for 500 years... 500 years for the Dynasty to return...
Come, princeling... claim what is yours.
Slaughter all who stand in your way!
Take a Queen, make her your mate, your wife. Bring heirs into this world, and secure your throne.
KILL THEM ALL!
The voices screaming in his head vanished suddenly when he spotted you curled up in your chair, closed book on the floor, legs sprawled every which way, hair hiding a majority of your sweet face, and sleeping peacefully.
The adrenaline left his body in a rush, a desire to hold you, protect you, and simply love you taking its place. He quickly wiped away the blood on his cheek, scattering the dried flakes to the floor. He rushed forward, laying his cape across your body.
"Hello snowflake... hello my precious snowflake..." Kaeya whispered, nuzzling your head.
He scooped you up from the chair with a small difficulty, that being trying not to wake you up, and he strode from the room. You looked so precious, all curled up in his arms as he carried you like a bride.
His thoughts wandered.
What a sight to see, you all dressed in a white gown, clinging to him as he carried you away, the promise of a pleasure-filled night leaving his lips. He smirked as he imagined how pink your precious face would turn, how you'd turn your head away, almost embarrassed.
How he longed to see such a sight. But it would have to wait, at least until everyone in this small group got to Snezhnaya. That day felt so far away, so long ahead in the future.
Kaeya desperately wanted to immediately get to Snezhnaya, but he couldn't, his work wasn't done here. Until the Electro Archon lay dead at his feet, it would be a betrayal of a different kind to himself and his people.
Footsteps sounded nearby, startling Kaeya from his thoughts. He glanced towards the sound, relaxing a little upon seeing the estate's young lady.
"Ah, Ayaka, it is a pleasure to be seeing you at last," he said, a grin easily coming to his face. "I always wondered who the young lady was that Thoma spoke of fondly."
