Part XI: Dating?

Y/N could barely see outside, it was pitch black.

"Are you sure you're ok walking home like this? I could walk back with you...?" Monty rubbed the back of his neck.

Y/N chuckled. "Not after what happened last time!"

"We'll I... I kinda liked last time..." Monty blushed.

It took a moment for Y/N to realise what he was talking about. She felt her face grow hot.

"I'll see you tomorrow, then?"

Y/N nodded. She opened her mouth to say something else, but found Monty's lips were on hers, pulling away before she even had time to process it.

"I'll see you then!" Monty smiled, waving and running away.

Y/N stood there for a second, still trying to figure out what just happened. 'That asshole!'

"Hey!" Y/N yelled.

Monty jumped, spinning around. Y/N run up to him, leaping and wrapping her arms around his neck. He pressed her lips against his, deepening the kiss almost immediately.

Monty's eyes widened, his face grew warmer and glowed red. After a moment he wrapped his arms around her, leaning into the kiss.

Y/N pulled away when she was satisfied. "See you later, alligator".

Monty mock-cringed. "That's insulting, Princess".

Y/N laughed, sticking her tongue out as him. "Ok I do really have to go now though, I'm pretty sure I forgot to turn my heater off"

Monty buried his face in his cushions, his tail wagging violently. Did she like him to? She had to!! That kiss...

"Monty!!" Freddy and the others burst into the room, making the gator jump, "What happened!? We got the message you sent out after you stormed off the stage. Is Y/N ok?"

Oh, right... "Yeah, she's fine. Dylan was arrested so she's going to be happy to hear that".

The others exchanged glances. "Ok, what happened. You don't sound annoyed or angry or anything you usually are!" Chica worried, running over to the gator and wrapping her arms around him.

Monty stayed silent for a moment, trying to conceal a smile. "She... she kissed me..."

Monty was going to say more but got distracted by a faint humming noise. He looked around, eventually landing on Chica who was vibrating with the noise her voice box emitted.

"That's amazing, Monty! We're very happy for you!" Freddy smiled, clapping his paws together.

"Uh-huh, yeah. You sound very happy for him, Fred" Roxanne snickered, rolling her eyes.

Monty laughed. This was probably the first time he'd been genuinely happy with the others ever since...

No, don't think about it. Don't think about what happened.

Monty looked up at Freddy. He seemed happy, but it was clear he was thinking about him too.

Y/N was right, she had left the heater on. Well, at least the apartment was warm. Everything was so quiet without Kaiden.

She sighed, taking off her jacket and throwing it on the wall hook. She didn't even notice until now she was still shaking.

She looked around the empty house. It was a very busy neighbourhood and nobody in her building had ever been broken into to, but something sent a shiver down her spine.
