All five hundred participants were already inside the Qiang Lake, and the pearl watchers had already been activated, followed by the rectangular illusionary image appearing above the marble arena stage that showed the spectacular view of the Qiang Lake, leaving the audience in awe and astonishment.

"Amazing! The rumors didn't lie!"

Shao Ling stared at the rectangular illusionary image as he sipped on his tea. The ice fairy that was giving him a nonstop cold made a high-pitched sound and landed on Shao Ling's shoulder, looking very exhausted. When Shao Ling was about to aid the ice fairy, a slender hand grabbed his wrist, which alarmed Shao Ling immediately infused his hand with azure blue spiritual qi.

"You're very hostile, Ah-Ling!" Shao Ling paused and looked back to see Yong Yingxi looking at him with a teary-eyed expression. "I put too much effort into escaping Master's grasp, you know?"

Shao Ling scoffed. "Go back, or I'll tell the Old Palace Master immediately."

"Ah-Ling!" Yong Yingxi exclaimed.

"Go back," Shao Ling said in a sharp tone.

"No."

"Go back."

"No, I said!"

"I'll tell———"

"Ah-Ling!"

Shao Ling stared at him with a hopeless expression and eventually sighed before redirecting his gaze back to the rectangular illusionary image: "Yong Yingxi, you're too pampered."

"I'm once a prince after all," Yong Yingxi said as he pulled a chair near Shao Ling and sat beside him with a smile. "And also, I'm a person blessed by the heavens! No wonder Master adores me! Right?"

Shao Ling: "........"

Yong Yingxi: "Ah-Ling, can you just agree on me once?"

Shao Ling: "I refuse."

Yong Yingxi: "You never change..."

Shao Ling: "Do I need changes?"

The beautiful woman walked to the center of the arena stage and spoke, "Participants, can you hear me?"

The participants who were shown in the rectangular illusionary image nodded, and the beautiful woman spoke again, "Alright. Since all of you can hear me, let's begin explaining the rules."
