Neither Sarah nor Vinnie spoke about what happened at the rink. They both acted as if it never happened. However, deep inside Vinnie knew he was rejected and it ached. He was not going to make a big deal out of it, maybe Sarah was just not comfortable? Maybe she was just scared? That was how Vinnie convinced himself. It had saddened him but Sarah's willingness to kiss him was his first priority. He should not be forcing a girl to kiss him. If she did not want to kiss him, she did not want it. Vinnie, however being petty, did not talk to Sarah for weeks. Although he forgave Sarah, he was childish like that. It was hard not to be around her but at the same time he wanted Sarah to know he loved her. Sarah did not want to press the incident on so she also never talked about it with Vinnie. Unspoken apologies faded away and none said anything to each other.

Whenever together, they would be joking around with their shitty humour and lame jokes. Occasionally, there were even times they both would fight like cats over whose turn it was to pick movies and video games. Vinnie had taught her how to play Valorant and tried to convince her it was the best game in the world but Sarah would plainly disagree and always choose her love for Mario Kart to be her favourite. Vinnie would sigh in defeat and Sarah would giggle. All these interactions gave her a way to unwind from her stressful life. Vinnie was like an outlet.

Sighing, Sarah went back to reading her book as she listened to the old music being played from Mr and Mrs Monet's house. She was in her room, sitting on the swing chair by the window as the wind blew. She had impulsively bought the chair, despite her mother saying it was a waste of money. Well, it was not a waste of money because that swing chair was the most favourite purchase of Sarah's. Most of the time she spent sitting on that chair either reading or doing something on her laptop.

Mr and Mrs Monet occasionally played the vinyl record player but when they played, it gave Sarah a sense of peace. They were a romantic French couple and Sarah adored that about the old couple.

"I already miss him..." Sarah unconsciously thought. Looking back, they both have known each other for six months already. Time really does fly so fast.

She suddenly wondered about Dylan. Six months since her breakup with Dylan. Six months since she last saw him at his house after she had slapped him. Six months since she had said goodbye to Dylan.

She thought about how Vinnie never asked about her past relationships. Was he not curious about it? About her boyfriends or exes? There were still so many secrets between them or more like so many secrets she kept from him. Why could she not bring herself to tell Vinnie about Dylan?

Her thoughts shifted more and her eagerness to keep reading the book died down. Why did Alaska Young die? That can wait. She wanted to talk to Vinnie but did Vinnie want to talk to her? No messages or calls from the guy.

Sarah decided to go get a glass of water and relax. She decided she would text Vinnie the next day. As she stood there by the sink, lost in her thoughts, she heard a sound coming from the window. She snapped her neck up to see Vinnie waving hysterically. She struggled to open the kitchen window and when she still could not open it, she gestured for him to go to the front door. She rushed to the front door and opened it to Vinnie standing there.

"What the hell were you doing there?" Sarah asked as a frown creased on her forehead.

"I am here for you," Vinnie stated as he smirked.

"Were you deciding to come into my house through the window?" Sarah sneered.

"I- no. I rang the doorbell but you didn't answer. Then I knocked. Again, no answer," Vinnie explained.

"The doorbell is broken."

"Yeah, how am I supposed to know that?" Vinnie replied sarcastically as he rolled her eyes at her.
