Ryker
They could smell the pizza rolls the moment they stepped out of the elevators, Carbry giving a glance at the several bags of take out that they had stopped for and offering a sigh. "Does Daryl know how to cook anything other than those damned things?"
Ryker grinned and offered a shrug, "he can cook steak... remember.. He made you a peach cobbler..."
Carbry's lips twitched into a smile as Ryker shifted a couple of his own bags around to open the door. They stepped in, kicking off their boots, Ryker putting down his bags of books and random baby things he barely remembered picking out, before following Carbry through the entrance and into the living room, where Daryl and Meri were.
They must have woken up not long after the two of them left, judging by the fact that most of the pizza rolls were eaten, the furniture was pushed back to make room for the blanket from the bed to be spread out and littered with pillows, plates of junk food and their two mates.
Daryl was lying on his stomach, sketching something idly in one of his work-drawing books, wearing only an apron, that did nothing to cover his exposed backside. He had fluffy white ears and a matching tail, which Meriwa was idly toying with. She was lying cross-wise from him, her upper body on his back as she lay on her stomach watching some sort of show or movie on the television. She was dressed in one of Carbry's shirts, sleeves rolled up, top several buttons undone, and not wearing much at all other than that.
"Oh... they brought food." Meri grinned, before leaning down and nipping Daryl's ass, watching the two of them. "We're having a picnic. Come join us."
Daryl laughed softly when he was bitten, glancing their way and flashing a grin before looking back at his book. "We only had half a box of pizza rolls left. We're starving."
"And here we feared you'd ruined your appetites." Carbry rolled his eyes and began placing the food on the ground in front of them.
Ryker turned into the kitchen to grab more plates and utensils. By the time he was back, Carbry was sitting beside Meriwa, who was running through the cheesy plot of the romance movie she was watching.
"Whatcha drawing?" Ryker grinned as he sat down closer to Daryl's head, his eyes scanning over what looked like the blueprints to another building. "Are you working on another project?"
"No.." Daryl shook his head and offered him a careful grin. "Not... job wise."
He offered Ryker the book as he sat up, accepting a heaping plate from Meriwa and starting to eat. Ryker shifted behind him, sliding his legs on either side of Daryls, ducking his head to kiss the man's shoulder as he continued flipping through the sketches of what appeared to be a farmhouse, barn, and several outbuildings. "This is a farm."
"Yeah. I've been working on it for a while. I had.. Been saving... but... I don't think that's a priority anymore." Daryl offered easily between bites, glancing to Meriwa, who reached out for the sketch book when Daryl blushed and inclined his head. "A pipe dream. Kids... do well around animals, out in the fresh air..."
"A farm is a hard thing to secure. Compared to a building or a city block." Ryker murmured, glancing at Carbry curiously. The man frowned as he looked at the pages Meriwa flipped through.
"I feel safer here, in the building..." Meriwa offered a shrug, glancing at Daryl, then Ryker, before looking to Carbry. "I didn't plan on moving."
"There are a lot of working parts to a farm. A lot of ground to cover." Carbry offered, nodding to Meriwa. "We have plenty of space here. We can expand this apartment, even join the bottom two levels, and there's an apartment in here that you two can move into."
