"Goodnight!" Hyejin exclaimed to Jaeje as she closed her bedroom door. It had been a week since her lunch date and Jay and she honestly felt a lot freer around him. Talking to him was no longer awkward and she no longer looked at him as just her boss.

She was scrolling through her phone, going on random apps when she got a message from Hongjoong.

They had talked lots of times since she gave him her number and Hyejin felt like crying at times when she realized that apart from Jay, there was someone else who liked her meaning she'd have to pick between two amazing guys.

Love triangles sucked.

Her date with him was only a few days away and she had already picked out her outfit, separating it from the rest of her clothing.

She opened the message to see he was wishing her a good night. He had been doing this since the first night and it always melted her heart a bit at the kind gesture.

She wished him back and sent a rolling eyes emoji after he teased about their date that Saturday, after letting him joke a bit more she went offline and went back to a quick game of Roblox.

After spending sometime dressing up her Royale High character and causing some mischief amongst a few players, she was about to enter a different game when another notification rang through.

Thinking it was Hongjoong, she opened the app again to see what he wanted, but to her surprise it was Jay.

He normally texted through the day time, though there wasn't much need seeing as they were around each other the majority of everyday.

Park stubborn: What's your favourite colour?

Of all things to ask a girl in the middle of the night, sometimes she wondered how her boss from about a month ago could turn into some 16-year-old.

Me: Blue

Park stubborn: First K-pop group you ever stanned?

Me: BTS

Park stubborn: Bias and wrecker?

Me: Hoseok and Yoongi, I'm sorry why am I being questioned in the middle of the night?

Park stubborn: I realized I don't know your preferences :(

Me: You could have asked tomorrow ♡´・ᴗ・'♡

Park stubborn: No sleep till I know everything

Me: I have work tomorrow

Park stubborn: Work's not as important as me knowing about you (இдஇ; )

Me: I can simply mute you and go to bed

Park stubborn: You wouldn't.

Me: Good night Jay :)

Hyejin quickly muted his contact before the constant dings could continue, laughing quietly to herself, she plugged in her phone and clocked out for the night.

The next day at work, Hyejin got into the elevator after a quick exchange of greeting with Yuna, who she promised to eat lunch with today seeing as it had been awhile.

The elevator dinged signaling she had arrived at the top floor, she walked in, not looking towards her front as she was getting her phone from her bag, causing her to bump into a solid and broad frame.

She looked up to see that it was Jay with a very complexed look on his face that Hyejin could not decipher.

"Why are standing in front of the elevator like that?" she questioned, but got no reply as he kept on staring, the same look on his face.

"What's with the fa-" her sentence was caught off as Jay picked her up bridal style and walked over to his couch.

Hyejin yelped as she was placed on it, looking towards Jay to figure out what was going on.

"Why did you do that?" she asked, wondering if it was time for his medical checkup.

"You muted me last night" he said, crossing his arms.

Hyejin sighed, rubbing her forehead before looking at him with a tired expression.

"Seriously? I was tired" she excused, placing her bag next to her.

"You didn't even say goodnight" his faced had morphed into one of sadness and Hyejin immediately started feeling bad.

Getting up she wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a kiss to the cheek.

"Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night" she said as an apology.

"Well it'll do for now, but I still want to take you out tonight" he said, trying to act like he wasn't swayed by the little apology.

"Fine" Hyejin easily agreed and Jay went back to his laptop, typing away with the pout still on his face.

"So, what's been going on with Mr. Park?" Yuna was quick to ask once they had both gotten their lunch and sat down.

"Nothing much" Hyejin shrugged as Yuna let out a scoff.

"Bullshit" she accused, but Hyejin kept a straight face.

"If we were dating, do you think it's something I'd keep a secret, especially to that mother of his" Hyejin replied.

"I'll get my answers by force" Yuna said and went back to aggressively eating her meal.

"Why is everyone so aggressive today" Hyejin questioned.

Later that day, Jay had driven them towards a restaurant about half an hour away and Hyejin was more than ready to get something to eat.

"It's beautiful" Hyejin spoke up, looking at the place Jay had taken her to.

"I had to search all day, but I finally picked this one" he said, unbuckling his seatbelt.

"You're wonderful, thank you" Hyejin told him, leaning towards his side.

"You're most welcome" he said turning his head towards Hyejin, only now noticing how close she was.

"But that isn't the way I asked for your gratitude" he said quietly, lips close to hers, but not wanting to make the first move.

It didn't take longer than a second for Hyejin to close the distance, raking a hand through his blond hair. The colour worked like magic or his already attractive features.

Jay didn't waste any time kissing back, quickly realizing his liking for Hyejin initiating their kisses. They couldn't get too close seeing at they were divided with the car seats.

Jay annoyed with the fact, grabbed Hyejin by the waist and hooked an arm under her knee, lifting her to his side and placing her on his lap.

He wrapped both hands around her was quick to reconnect their mouths, he dared press his tongue against her lips, never actually going as far in their kisses, wanting to move at her pace.

Hyejin who was so caught up in the kiss didn't give a second thought as she gave him way and despite her usual conflict about how people used tongue when kissing finally realized they were too lust crazed to give a damn. And Jay was too good at this for her to want to stop.

It went on for a few more minutes before Hyejin broke them apart, despite wanting to just continue what they were doing remembered why they were there in the first place.

"Food now, this definitely after" she caught her breath, letting Jay place her back on her seat.

"Let's wait for a while" Jay said hurriedly.

"Why?" she questioned as Jay's face went beet red.

He adjusted his seat backwards and turned away from her not answering. Hyejin was confused for a moment before realization dawned on her.

She blushed while also trying to stifle a laugh as Jay just scoffed loudly and maintained his current position facing away from her.

"Okay okay, let's wait" she agreed finally letting out her giggles as she let her thoughts take over.

"I like Hongjoong, but I like Jay a whole lot"
