"Come on, let's go" Jay tried to drag a reluctant Hyejin out of bed, said girl hanging on to the headboard for dear life.

"You can't make me." she stubbornly said, sticking out her tongue at him.

Today was the annual Park family picnic, where every member of the park family got together in a park, they would rent just for themselves and pretended to like each other. It was also the day Jay told everyone he would introduce them to Hyejin, much to her dismay.

"Tell them I died in a chicken incident or something" she begged, now trying to kick her legs at him.

"Alright, we're losing daylight' Jay sighed, dropping her legs to move to the side of his bed, carrying her up bridal style.

"You handsome demonic evil man can't persuade me with your show of strength."

"Mhm, let's get you into the bathroom."

"They're not going to like me." Hyejin deadpanned as they sat in the car parked just out the garden gates, the rest of the family was already dear and conversing. Hyejin had counted a total of 9 eye rolls in the last 3 minutes.

"They don't need to like you, they just need to know you exist and what you look like, besides I like you enough for all of them" Jay assured and gave her a quick kiss before stepping out, going to the other side to open the door for her.

"Flattery will get you everywhere" she tells him and lets him lead her with an arm around her waist.

"Mum" Jay greets as they walk up to his mother, hugging her gently as she presses a small kiss to his cheek.

"Jay darling, it feels like I haven't seen you in forever-" probably because she spent the last month in Tokyo "- Come say hi to your aunt's." she directed the both of them to the group consisting of 4 women, all obviously trying to show off with their attire while looking as modest as possible.

"Oh my, could that be my handsome nephew?" the obviously youngest out of the four called, first to notice Jay.

"Aunty Hwan" Jay greeted as he hugged the older woman.

"And you must be the lovely Hyejin" another who appeared to be in her mid-forties casted a quick glance at her, smiling in a way Hyejin couldn't read.

"Aunty Iseul this is my girlfriend, Hyejin and Hyejin these are my aunties, Hwan, Jun, Iseul and Ye-Rim" Jay introduced, proudly bringing his girlfriend forward to show off.

"It's lovely to meet you all" Hyejin wasn't one to always be so formal, but she felt like one foot out of line and these women would eat her alive.

"Darling please relax, not only are you the first woman he's brought around to introduce to us, but you're also the reason he probably even showed up today, sadly Jay doesn't see the necessity of being around family even if it's just once in a blue moon" His Aunt Jun tried to calm her, noticing the girls obviously tense posture.

"Let's not keep you to ourselves, I'm sure your uncles and cousins would love to speak to you while they can" and with that the women leave them to head to the various picnic tables.

"There was always a particular time every year that you would ask me to book you a vacation for a few days, but I had no idea it was to run from seeing your family" Hyejin scolds as no one is within hearing distance.

"Give yourself some time, you'll be asking me to take you away from here once everyone starts getting drunk and hungry" Jay chides and leads her to his cousins, all currently chatting on the tables already set out with snacks.
