The glimpse of the sunlight from the open window kissed my face and I opened my eyes in an empty room. I must be really tired that I didn't notice Sebastian when he left. I wondered where he went and if Mrs. Andrews went out with him. I decided to get up and a note suddenly fell on the floor, I picked it up and I remembered that I had to meet Sebastian after dinner. I had a feeling that he was up into something but I never want to make assumptions based on his actions. His penmanship looked nice; it must be a great deal being an architect and businessman at the same time. I dialed his number on my phone but he left it on the bedside table. He must have taken his time to talk alone with his Nan while I was still asleep. I found Steve in the living room when I went out of the room. He was standing near the window while looking at a distance. I came closer to him then he suddenly turned around when he noticed my presence.

"Did you rest well, Sam?" he asked while I make myself comfortable beside him.

"I did, Mr. Douglas," my eyes searched around but it was just the two of us.

"You're being formal again," he looked at me then he started to look outside again.

"I'm sorry; I'm just not really used to call you by your first name since it's my first time to meet you," I said while holding my hanky tight to release my tension.

"I understand that you're timid Sam but I'll give you enough time to make yourself comfortable in being part of this family,"

"What do you mean?"

"Sebastian was right after all, due to culture difference you may find it hard to understand what's going on. So, let me ask you this question instead, do you see yourself as a part of this family?"

"Well, I'm really happy to be here. I appreciate that Sebastian decided to introduce me to his family. I felt like I'm already part of this family even before I got to meet all of you. I love your son and he loves his family. I'm sure that I can love his family too,"

"So, that must be a yes."

Moments from the past flashed back in my head during the time when Sebastian asked me for an actual date. No doubt, Sebastian got his traits from his father. They both wanted a straight to the point answer when they ask questions. I responded a sweet smile to Steve to confirm what he wanted to know a while ago. The silence between us made me feel uncomfortable so I decided to speak to break the silence.

"I woke up in an empty room earlier and I was wondering if you've seen Sebastian?" I said while studying the expression of his face.

"Don't worry, he will be back soon." He smiled at me then he headed back to his room.

I couldn't completely grasp all the events which happened today. Mrs. Andrews was Sebastian's long lost Nan, discovering the reason behind why she left him, and Xander's warning about making Sebastian angry; I must avoid making him angry. It made me think of the reasons which could possibly make him angry at me. As far as I knew, Sebastian didn't have any anger issues. But somehow, I felt unsure about it. I sat on the comfy sofa and the latest issue of a clothing brand magazine on the table caught my attention. "The Douglas Brothers: Young and Successful Entrepreneurs", the headline made me felt so far to what they were able to accomplished in their age. Knowing that they were already successful, I couldn't even look at myself the same; I haven't met success in my life yet. I turned the magazine to the next page and I saw Sebastian's full body image on a suit and tie. The suit looked expensive; I wonder how they were able to get a confirmation from Sebastian to endorse their product. I always see him in a suit and tie but it felt different when he was wearing something fancy. It was fancy in a state that he was wearing a famous product, not just famous locally but worldwide. I tossed the magazine back to the table and I left out a heavy sigh when Sebastian arrived.
