Chapter 24 - The Truth Unfold

"You really messed up this time man! Just look at Sam's face, she was obviously frightened," Andy said while watching the footage of the camera from Sam's flat. Xander came closer beside Andy to watch the footage while Sebastian was sitting silently on the sofa inside his office.

"Seb, how many times do I have to tell you about your anger issues?" Xander said. Sebastian looked at him and shrugged his shoulders, "She lied to me, I asked her a lot of questions, but she chose to lie in front of me. How can I even trust her with the big things if she can't be true to me with the little things?"

"At least give her a chance to explain. You must know the context of the story first. You even threw the bouquet and you almost hurt her which is unacceptable. You're not a kid anymore Seb," Xander answered, disappointment was written all over his face.

"Don't make the same mistake I did in the past, Seb. Hurting someone precious to you is the worst thing ever. Cool down and talk to Sam. Look at her; don't you feel bad seeing her like that?" Andy showed Sebastian the footage of what happened when Samantha was left alone outside her flat. She was wiping her tears while picking up the sunflowers scattered on the floor.

"I can see it, you don't have to shove it right to my face," Sebastian said. He left out a heavy sigh and added, "I don't know if Sam can forgive me this time. Clearly, I wasn't able to keep my promise."

"Relax man! I just wanted you to see how badly she was hurt. Just look at her crying," Andy said. He took the laptop away and watched the footage further on Sebastian's desk.

"You better think of a way to settle this matter with Samantha. The earliest, if possible, a lot of things can happen in a day," Xander suggested.

"I felt bad, to be honest. I didn't mean to leave her like that yesterday. But I never expected her to lie even after I caught her red-handed," Sebastian said.

"You're old enough to decide what's best for you, for Samantha, and for your relationship. But I'm telling you, you only have two options in this situation. It's either you lose your chance to save your relationship with her or you take all the chances you still have to be with her for the rest of your life," Xander said sincerely.

"But what if I failed again? I don't want to lose Sam. Without her in my life, I'd be devastated," Sebastian sobbed. Xander came closer to him and wrapped him in his arms, tears formed in the corner of his eyes.

"I know Seb. That's why I am always here for you whenever you need me. I have seen your difficulties in dealing with life while you were growing up without our mother. I can't read Samantha's heart and mind, but you can always tell her how you feel. Learn to listen, let her explain why she lied. There's a reason behind everything after all,"

"What if she won't listen to what I am going to say?" Sebastian asked quickly.

"But what if she will?" Xander answered while smiling. "Just risk it all, Samantha is a good person. I know she will understand," he added. Sebastian's eyes glimmered with hope as he pats Xander's shoulder.

"Thank you, bro. Thank you for always being there for me," Sebastian said while smiling.

"Anytime, it's a brotherly instinct you know. Samantha may have seen you as a strong person but deep down inside, I exactly know how you are," Xander teased.

"Just don't tell her please," Sebastian begged. Then they both laughed.

"Umm, guys! I'm sorry to interrupt you but I think you both need to see this," Andy said.

"You got tulips again?" Tia asked.

"Yeah, someone left it outside my door. I don't know who did it again," I confessed in confusion. "What are the odds? I have a lot to think about already and this bouquet of tulips kept on wandering inside my head too." I lowered my head on my kitchen table while Tia was busy making some tea.
